@wicked_laugh Wicked, I agree with what your saying. Its rather likely we would have been able to play used games and I also seriously doubt the selling of digital content...at least without it being so ridiculous and you gaining next to nothing in the process. Then with used gaming there would be policies like the fine they discussed before making it worse than it is now. I imagine their used gaming policy to work exactly how it does with Gamestop now except with it being the publishers in place of the store. They at the end of the day would still be able to say "those features are still here". You just have to pay us...and keep paying us..again..and again.

@TwinStripeUK @projectpat72988 Oh I dont know...maybe because I PAID FULL PRICE for the game. Why should I get FIVE DOLLARS? are you serious? Tell yourself its okay though...ALL the publishers would agree with you and hope more consumers start to think the way you do. Ask yourself why is that? Keep pushing for having to pay for things that used to be free and paying more to get less in return. Love the Goldfish span comment...just blindly pretending like %90 of games out there aren't completely stale after 10 hours or so meanwhile theres others that last hundreds of hours for the same price. But thats somehow our problem right? That we can't stay interested in a 5-10 hour game for 8 years?

@Knalxz @OniLordAsmodeus Thats because before 2005 there was no "DLC". They were called "expansion packs" and were almost never really suspect to "is it worth it?" like todays dlc is. You think comparing on average 500mb-1gb DLC downloads to 7-12gb full games is the same thing? The slowest connections can get DLC in a fairly reasonable amount of time even with the constant drops outs. A game will take hours to download.

@OniLordAsmodeus Notice that part when I said "gaming consoles". You seemed to look over the entire point of what I just said. PCs were never built with its sole function to be gaming.

@Derpalon Another good point. This is exactly the type of things these "companies" will say to try and maximize profits at the expense of their consumers all the way. Love how he mentions friggin phones not using discs....when has a phone ever been any other way? Its completely different...all the devices he named that are digital are that way for a reason. Gaming consoles have always basically been about acquiring new content all the time and a physical copy is the most convinient logical way to go about that. There is absolutely no situation where digital benefits the consumer more so than physical...not one.

Eh....I like how he he comments about people saying WOW you really were gonna let us trade..and that people are coming around. Always leave it to these guys to leave out MAJOR details. Oh AS IF you were just gonna let me sell my game to my friend for 5 dollars if I wanted to? No you know darn well thats how how it would work. There would likely be some absurd automatic fee for the service likely %50 or more the cost of the game. At the BEST you would likely be giving MS %75 of the currency while your friend still pays very high. Oh but we can still "trade"

Went from beyond excited about anything to do with AC post AC2 up until AC3. After AC3...I no longer care about the series AT ALL and have zero plans on spending money on further titles....and that belief is bleeding over into Ubisoft games in general. Tying up things with Desmond was incredibly unsatisfying for the sake of prolonging a series that should have ended. You basically killed off the MAIN CHARACTER OF THE SERIES in a completely non-meaningful way for the sake of making more games. A unique great game turned into yearly installments? This guy is so full of it....lost sleep over it? REALLY? Everyone knew that naval battles were so well loved that MP for them was obviously going to be the next big thing. Theres no way in **** Ubisoft the now turned cashcow company don't have plans for DLC or yet again ANOTHER game. I mean really? This tired series has Black Flag not even out yet and they are already hinting at ANOTHER game? The story used to have me on the edge of my seat it was so interesting and now its just "well. another seemingly BIG DEAL of a reason to continue things that will basically not matter in the end"

I just really...REALLY hate Electronic Arts. I got back in gaming in early 2009 after about a 6 year period of only caring about the new GTA titles. Its sad that looking back at 2009 seems like an insanely long time ago with the way gaming has progressed. This whole..."every change we make to the industry will be ones that intelligent consumers will dislike, not benefit from, AND gain us more money in the process all while the consumer takes in the rear" BS. Thats basically the route EA and other publishers have been pushing gaming. First I was just concerned about absurd amounts of DLC....now that isn't even the biggest problem. I would personally throw a party if EA went under. No more offline? So Bioware...essentially one of the greatest gaming companies that ever lived who made their name OFF OF OFFLINE GAMES...will NEVER again make an offline game? Great move there EA even after fail after fail you still take this route. Please go out of business.
