people have been calling the wii a shovelware system or a system with crappy ports for some time now and for the most part i agree. times are a changing now. with the release of galaxy AKA game of the year, developers will have to start putting a little more effort on originality and not crappy ports or kiddie crap.
it has more top exclusives then any other system (in my opinion) with warioware, mario and sonic @ olympics, strikers, paper mario, bw ii,and wii sports to go with the best 3 game punch on next gen consoles (galaxy, prime 3, and twilight princess). plus gamecube compatibility and the virtual console games. seeing N64 games in 480p is very nice. plus the SNK stuff will be a selling point to alot of peeps........and if the dreamcast channel is true?
3rd party games have improved and some are exclusive. ghost squad and umbrella ch. are good. the best version of resident evil 4. you also have trauma center, guilty gear and mlb pros. mlb pros is the best baseball game since world series 2 on the saturn. guitar hero and DDR we play every night! nights is also looking really good right now as well as geo wars. although $40 or $50 for geo wars is a joke.
the biggest surprize is EA. they have done the wii justice and for the most part have made quality games. madden and fifa are great. medal of honor is awesome online (except for the fact it takes 50 body shots to kill someone), ssx blur is under-rated, and EA playground and my sims are actually decent.
im certain the quality of the games will only improve and the 1st quarter of next year looks really good. mario kart and smash bro (not a fan of the old ones) both are due before spring. the variety makes the wii worth it. its not a flood of fps......i may even get wii fit. i think it looks cool. plus my girlfriend wants it. yeah...that's it.
