I exchanged the tv for one that was 720p and it's the same exact problem. I'm going to buy new component cables to see if that works.

I have a launch model system, so no HDMI and you can use component cables to play 1080p. It could just be the tv, but it switches to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p for a brief second but the screen flickers black and then it reverts to 480i so it's not like the signal is impossible to switch to.

I just bought a Dynex 24 in 1080p tv and i've plugged everything in with the component cables, set the hdtv switch, and I'm attempting to change the display setting to 1080p. It gives me the "Do you want to keep the new settings" option and, I select yes and my tv shows a 1080p signal for a brief second, the 360 menu is even in 1080p for that second, but the screen goes black and it reverts my tv back to 480i. Anyone know what to do?

Are all wireless cards compatible with any brand router?

Ive got a D-link router but I can't find a D-link card, so I was going to get a netgear or ******, will the D-link work with these other brands?
