It is a great multiplayer fps to own. IMHO, I feel 1.6 has more hackers as it has been out much longer than CSS. THere's more time for hackers to overcome any new anticheat softwares as they are more used to the programming than CSS. The graphics are much better and everything else looks just great, even the weapons.
I played renegade from its online multiplayer demo stages and I really loved it for its fun. AlthoughBF2 is more tactical and advanced, the fun u get in renegade is just not there.
I was always thinking how great it would be to have a red alert shooter, since the rts version is also better than C&C.

I know it's quite an old game, but I am unable to patch High Treason with the latest updates, nor am I able to install the Navy Invaders mod. Everytime I start the patch, a message saying invalid Act of War.exe appears. Is there anyway to solve this? I really need to update to the latest patches to play the Navy Invaders mod.
The ranked system in BF2 is broken there are only 3 or 4 ranked servers and there usually always full.. None of the ranked servers allow unlocks so bassically no one plays BF2 for stats.. Your better off just playing regular servers. frizzyman0292
Yeah patching will give the 1000+ servers. I do get that many ranked servers too and I have always only played on ranked servers. Which is why the latest non-updating saga is infuriating me.

Anyone know whats going on with the bf2 stats system? I've been playing ranked servers and for some reason my stats are not recorded these past 3 days. I've gotten some medals through hard work and should have increased my rank but none of it was recorded down.
