My dad was a total jerk before he moved out. Alcoholic, abusive (verbally), manipulative, power hungry. Now he's desperate to "make up" with me. But he usually ends up guilt tripping me and reverting back to his old ways. You can only feel bad for someone for until they start using it to control you. He always causes me stress when I'm around him and I can't deal with that right now.

My mom, on the other hand, is the most fantastic person on the planet.

I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle, but I've always prefered the top-down Zelda games (favorite being OoA, though I love all of them) to the 3D console games. That being said, I haven't played WW or TP. The N64 iterations, at least retrospecitvely, didn't translate the mechanics very smoothly.

I haven't had the chance to play the DS games either, but I'm assuming they fall under the 2D category. I may be wrong.

I might check out The Prestige/The Illusionist. Already saw Magnolia, Se7en and Inception (loved them). Shutter Island was ruined for me.

Se7en is a fantastic example of what I'm looking for.

I've seen a lot of movies, but right now I'm in the mood to see one with some kind of sequence or twist that will make me say "OH SH-". Not just a good movie, but one like Memento or Fight Club where everything sort of "comes together" in a fantastic way at the end. It doesn't have to be intense or serious.

Everyone wanted the top to fall, but there are so many signs that point to him being a dream. The fact that they don't show HOW he got to the house (which was explained earlier as a sure sign that one was in a dream). Also, when he's in Mombasa and the walls slowly close in on him. This is a classic example of anxiety felt within dreams (I'm sure everyone's had a similar experience). Not only that, but as soon as he gets through the wall Saito is right there to pick him up. Yes it's a movie, but I can't help but think that Nolan stretched the truth on purpose. I agree with the theory that the entire movie is a metaphor for the movies themselves.

I think eventually people will all start using their phones for MP3 players once it becomes more practical. For now, most phones have fairly clunky music interfaces.

Memento is my favorite movie of all time. I had no choice. All of his movies are masterpieces however.
