I just pick up my new xbox yesterday at futureshop. It's better in every way, nicely done with the make over.Leo-Magic

Is the dashboard the same?

If you install the game to your hard drive, it runs slower, thus taking away most of the noise. And the load times are faster.

[QUOTE="pilotdude232"]

I have a somewhat dumb question as well. I've used composite cables my entire ownership of my 360. If I ever decide to upgrade to component, would I use all six cables ([red/green/blue] plus [yellow/white/red]) or just the [red/green/blue] cables into my hypothetical HD TV?

Gen007

you would use the red green and blue plugs for picture and the red and white for sound so 5 plugs. Also for the people who have 360s without HDMI look into VGA cables. Id say it provides just as good of a picture as HDMI and both are better than component cables. Of course you need to make sure that your tv can support VGA though and you might need some adapters.

Thank you for your answer. :)

I'm happy with my 120 Gig Jasper.

Same here. I've had mine for six months, though, so I haven't 'broken it in' yet, haha. I hope it holds up. I bet I would cry the first time I saw it RRoD.

Any HDMI cable would work. You need it too, because the new xbox only comes with regular composite video input (not even component).

My current 360 is about to give out (won't read discs!) so I'm probably just going to pick this new one up, but I'm kind of bummed it doesn't come with a Blu-Ray player. I'm contemplating buying an arcade and a PS3 (I want to play Heavy Rain and the Last Guardian), but would rather just buy the new 360 wit Blu-Ray. You don't think this is something they'll be adding later, do you?

cametall

Well as nice as a bluray player is it's completely useless unless your tvs bigger than 42inch and you sit far away from it. Also would you be willing to give me your 360? I'll pay for the shipping. I just want the console and the cords if possible.

What are you talking about? I have a 32" and I can see a huge difference in movies.

There were rumors a year or two ago of an attachment, but those got thrown out the window rather quickly. Maybe an add-on will come out in the future.

The add on was the HD-DVD player, which dissappeared with the dropout of the HD-DVD in favor of blu-ray. So I don't believe there will ever be any add on, imo.
