James Bond movies became weird. I have been watching all of them since a kid and I just pretty much lost any kind of interest in them. Too much CGI for one, and zero of that original British humor as we used to experience in every 007 movie. New Bond Movies are terribly written.
@mrbojangles25: that’s wrong. Ever played Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy from the 90s? One of the best RTT games ever made. Many variations of missions, awesome unit management, amazing sound and voice and total Starship Troopers vibe, mission ranged with many different objectives. So that’s another game to never forget.
@mrbojangles25: Not really. First, the book was written decades earlier. The MI had actual combat armor with jump-jets, specialized weapons and used whole other tactics. The bugs operated intelligently, and not only like a zerg coordinated by one central intelligent unit (brain bug). Just because a book shows the whole logistical nightmare and other out-of-combat procedures in the military more than it shows actual battle, doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Movie was all about humanity kicking some alien ass 🙄 and even Paul Verhoeven admitted not even having read past a few chapters.
Sure, it had awesome fight scenes and epic writing with perfect music, but that doesn’t make a book that started all of this bad. It was a 90s movie made for a 90s action audience.
Taking ideas is fine but implementing them nearly identical is thievery, I mean it’s the same with other colors.
Don’t like at all about stealing other people’s ideas but to each their own. After all the Starship Troopers movie had about as much in common with the book like a lizard compared to a wale.
@joecollin: yes, I have seen the numbers, I have seen them also in Alien:Fireteam Elite, Evolve, etc., games all died within 6-7 months and what remained after were only bitter vets and chest-looter-quit-mid-gamers. All co-op games won't work over time. Too repetitive.
