Thank you all for the wise input. I think I'll get the Kinect because without it it's just like my PS4 (which I love but there is no point in having 2 similar consoles)

If you have the money why not. Although there are rumors a slim one is coming next year.

I might get myself an xbox one soon because I always wanted to try Halo and I think this is a good time to get one because the collection is out now and Halo 5 is coming next year.

Unlike most people, one of the things that appealed to me the most about the xbone was the Kinect, but I'm concerned it's no longer part of Microsoft "vision" for the xbox. Please tell me if it's worth it or should I save myself $100. I would also like to know what are the chances a slim Xbox comes out next year because I like having the latest and greatest.

I feel deeply sorry for you, but I believe it's in Sony best interest to help you out so I'd say give them a call again and try to explain your problem. Avoid storing credit card information on many services and use stronger passwords.

Only the initial install required before you can play the game is shown in notifications. To see the remaining, go to the game in the menu and press Options button then Information. It will show the download status.

You do not need to start the game for the download to finish, it runs in the background while the system is on (or in standby if you have enabled downloads in standby), you can even start another game and let the first game finish downloading in the background.

Thank you!

@DuaIFace: not many vendors support flash anymore.. it will be dead soon

Yet YouTube still requires flash :(

Go to youtube.com/html5, activate the HTML5 option and now it dosn't require flash.

I got ACIV on the Playstation Store, the file was apparently 20GB but it only downloaded 4GB (according to Notifications/Downloads). Then I was able to access the game and play the story for a little while, then when I went to multiplayer, a message appeared saying that it was still downloading (about 60%). So my question is how do I know when all of the game download(s) finish because maybe the rest of the story is also downloading and there's no download on notifications/downloads (maybe there's another download screen that I don't know exists). Also do I need to start the game for the download to finish?

Yes you can use your PSN on up to 2 activated PS3s. An easier way is to connect both PS3s with an ethernet cable, all files will be transfered but it can take up to 4 hours (much faster than downloading everything again).
