Honestly I expected every privileged millennial to jump up and scream that they do not want to get rid of their physical copies. But lets be honest here, when was the last time any of you actually went through the "hassles" of having to wait in lines, stand outside of a gamestop for a midnight release, find out a hot game is all sold out, deal with rude crowds of people, waste gas, etc etc. When you can easily just turn on your console and download a digital copy and never have to worry about ANY of that. Plus, it cuts out the middle man of the actual disk, since you have to DOWNLOAD it ANYWAY!! As far as the so called "value" of a disc....screw that. I get all of my games on xbox live weekly tuesday deals digitally. ALL of them i have gotten WAAAAAAAAY cheaper than the actual disc that gamestop or any other retailer provides. Plus i dont have to pay for shipping or sales tax on it. IDK why more people dont know about this, it boggles the mind. I just picked up Wolfenstein 2 for 9 bucks digitally off xbox live a few weeks ago, cmon!! Plus they have sales constantly throughout the year with the summer sales, winter sales, christmas sales, black friday sales, ALL digital. So dont cry about that "oh physical copies are cheaper" crap, because for the past like 5 years i saved way more digitally. If you think you gonna have some treasure trove copy of a physical disc thats worth something 100 years from now, dont bother. People ridiculed MS for going all digital when the Xbox One was first announced, and yes the world wasnt ready for it, but isnt it funny how they were kinda right all along. Look at the way the world is. I dont see anyone screaming at Netflix about DVDS, or Malls because Amazon because killed every retail store. EVERYTHING has gone digital so get use to it. If you live in the hills then GTFO of the hills, this isnt the 1800s. Get with it or get left behind. IF you cant afford it then this isnt for you and you got bigger problems and shouldnt be worried about gaming.
