@inspectercoley I believe this is more of a coding issue than a server issue. Things run fairly well after you get through that first tutorial. After a day of trying, I finally got passed it, and I've been able to hop onto the service at will.

@straightcur a perfect statement of ignorance. Flawed software has existed since the beginning of software, and programming will always come with flaws, no matter how much testing is done to prevent it. Unlike the 80's and early 90's, software developers didn't have online services to provide. Maybe you haven't realized how much online abilities have evolved in the last 15 years, but it is no longer just a P2P provided service. The connections are much deeper, statistical data much more in depth, and the infrastructure much more complex. Sure it is easy to hop on GS and make some ignorant statement, well...because it is just about obtaining your money while then providing you a middle finger, but as with most things in life, it is quite more complicated. Continued innovation will create "flaws," but they will improve with time, as it has ALWAYS been.

So there are some people on IGN saying that, when going online and stuck at the waiting for players screen, to wait about 30 to 60 minutes, and it will eventually pass through. I've been waiting for about 20 so far to no avail. This is one area where the Xbox One's SNAP feature would come in handy. At least then I could do other things while a game is struggling to work.

@LVT_PTA_PB @kittlesnets well, the progression in F1 is slow, but that is one game you're basing improvements on. I have 2K14 and it is miles improved over 2K13. Even a casual player of 2K13 can easily pick up the controller and play a single minute to get this understanding. The team at Visual Concepts does not repackage their games like Tiburon does with Madden.

@JBcrazy @o016945 @LADIES_MAN_2013 @PSFanboy-_- I promise you that you will get both. I mean, a game like GTA5 being powered on 7 year old hardware at the framerate given is a huge feat. The 360 and PS3 only have 512 megs of internal ram.

You'll see the 60 frames and 1080 native resolutions when developers get more time with the hardware. They are very capable with their specs. GTA5 would never run on a PC with 512 megs of internal memory, so there is a huge difference when comparing PC specs and console specs.
