Nevermind. I just saw the link. I won't be using it for a laptop and the 360 but rather for a PC and the 360. I assume this doesn't make any difference, right? Also, while reading reviews of the router, I keep seeing the term "throughput." What does this mean and what should I be looking for in that area?

A while back, I asked a number of questions about Xbox Live and the Internet requirements associated with it. It's been 3 months and I am finally getting Xbox live. However, I have now run into a few new problems.
Apparently, I need a wireless router (and a Xbox 360 wireless network adapter), and I know little to nothing about such devices. So, any suggestions about which router to get would be appreciated. I have read that the D-Link DGL-4100 and DGL-4300 are good choices. In your suggestions, keep in mind that I don't want to spend a fortune on the device and, if at all possible, I need the wireless range to extend from the upstairs areaof my house to the downstairs area. If more information is needed to determine a suitable router, let me know. Thanks in advance.
I liked MGS 2: Substance the best. The gameplay, story, secrets, and unlockables were all expertly crafted and made this the hardest MGS game for me to stop playing. Plus, I feel that the shift from Snake to Raiden only improves Snake's iconic status. By not playing as Snake, we get to observe how he would react to these situations without our influence on the actions he takes, thereby showing his true nature/character.
Thanks for all the responses and good info. With this information, I feel a lot better about investing in a Xbox Live account. I'm going to try purchasing an account as soon as possible, and hopefully I'll be enjoying its benefits within the next couple of weeks! You all have answered all my questions and helped me reach my decision, so, once again, thank you.
Sorry, I just thought of another question. If I get Xbox Live Gold, do I need to find people to play that have similar Internet connections, or can I just play against anyone?
