what would you expect the obama administration to do? theyre already investing in research and riding BP's ass. if they experts cant figure it out, there is nothing more they can really do.

also, if there was no new call of duty being released, the same amount of people would still be playing modernwarfare 2 regardless. it would be alot nicer if they released cheaper dlc instead of having a brand new game

Really? i think at this point activision is fairly desperate for more money if though they are the largest publisher. they expensive dlc and the subscription fee idea is just going a bit far. they are corrupted and really are rushing out call of duty titles. at this point they could release call of duty: space battles, and it would still sell enormous amounts

black ops is going to sell amazingly well. outselling halo reach. the fanbase for call of duty seems to a bit bias and blind to these types of things and will be willing to pay a subcription fee and 15 dollars for dlc.

halo reach is clearly going to be one of the top games of the year. and really it deserves to sell more. the way bungie is to the fanbase is alot more apealing. the call of duty fanbase is largely "uneducated" if you will and does not give a rats ass about campaign lengths and reviews. they will play the crap out of last years multiplayer, just on different maps with differnt guns and perks.

What do you think? Which is will sell more? which will score better?(also take into acount back ops is a multi platt

say if you think they will have low ratings and what they will sell

Have you ever considered that that's because they love CoD?

i enjoy playing cod too. but i think its unfair to charge extra just to play, especially considering im already paying for live gold. and a new one every year gets a bit repetive for my liking. its been3 years since the last full fledged multiplayer reboot for halo.

All this hate for COD and yet every year it's one of the highest rated games and wins many awards, talk about a disconnect..and i suppose you're calling the many dozens or game critics "uneducated" too. As if you need half a brain to enjoy Halo, geeesh people.

VideoGameGuy
im not calling the critics uneducated. im saying some people on call of duty dont really care about game reviews and are willing to spen more money on unnecessary things

and millions of people will buy Halo cause it says "halo" it's like you're trying to say that Halo won't sell millions on name alone but COD will. I think Halo invented the blind purchase.

releasing a new call of duty game every year is pushing blind purchases. the average call of duty player does not visit forums and learn the vertics on games. on the other hand, halo is a known for being a good series. every title has receieved fantastic scores(with the exception of ODST which was an expansion and a price ripp off) which here on gamespot got the same rating as modernwarfare 2. reach has had a 3 year development cycle, versus call of dutys 2 year cycles to push out a new game every year.

I pre-ordered Reach today and I probably won't ever get the new CoD... that's all I can say about this...

yep i supppose im a hipster and just talking about you isnt helping, or really relevant

This shouldnt even be a conversation.Halo Reach will be no doubt be one of the biggest game launches ever and you want to put it up against Black Ops :?

JordanizPro
game quality yes reach will be a definate win. but sales wise i wanted to get peoples opinions. i think black ops will sell more, just because of how modernwarfare 2 sold. black ops is an instan purchase for some because it has call of duty in the title

Reach will probably be the better game, but how can you compare a game on 3 systems to a game on 1 for sales :?
