Hey all :D

I recently upgraded to an i5 6500, with an Arctic Freezer XTREME Rev 2, and have a few questions about some stress tests I've performed.

Intel Extreme Tuning Utility:

When I stress test with this, the CPU utilization goes up to 100% and the temps stay at 50-55 C until I stop the test.

OCCT:

When I use the "linpack" stress test, CPU utilization goes up to 100% and the temps stay at 50-58 C until I stop the test.

RealTemp:

I used RealTemp with prime95, but I don't think it's working well. When I stress test, CPU utilization goes up to 24% and the temps fly up to 60-70 C.

Which results are correct, and are my temps fine? Thank you! :)

Hello :)

My current audio setup for my Pc is an Astro A40 with the 2013 mixamp. However, I'm actually mostly into games with good music like FF:XIV, rather than competitive FPS games. So I'm looking for headsets that are good at that, since I heard the Astro A40 isn't really that good for audio quality.

I've been looking a bit around, and among some other headsets, I found AKG 612 Pro and Sennheisers 360 to be good all-around headsets. Which one of these, or others if there are better ones, would you recommend? My budget is around 200$, but not the maximum, and I don't need a mic, since I have an AT2020 mic.

Also, my mixamp is connected to the Asus Xonar DX sound card with optical cable. When I get my new headset, will my headset sound better if I connect it to the mixamp or directly to the sound card?

Thanks so much!! :D

Hello!

I bought a US Xbox One and intend to use it in Denmark, so I'm looking for a 220V --> 110V converter. I've searched around for hours and only found $70+ converter boxes and $70+ original PSU's on eBay. There has to be a cheaper/smarter way to do this. Can any recommend any specific products I can use?

Thanks! :)

Hello! I have a lot of questions regarding the Wii U and region lock, hope you can answer them :D ;

1. If I buy a Wii U in the US and bring it to Europe, I can use and buy games off the American eShop as if I were in the US and it wouldn't cause any problems, correct?

2. I went to the Nintendo World store in New York, and an employee told me that a US Wii U in Europe, wouldn't work with new updates, the eShop wouldn't work, and nothing would work. I checked the internet, and all he said was completely wrong. According to what I read, updates will work as normal, and I'll have the American eShop in Europe. Who's correct, me or him?

3. If I can use the American eShop in Europe, the prices will be the same as if I were in the US, correct?

4. Which European controllers work with the Wii U? I'm thinking all of them, except the Gamepad, is this correct?

5. How will Nintendo Club work for me with a US Wii U in Europe?

6. If I buy Mario Kart 8 in the US together with my US Wii U, am I still able to get the free extra game if I use the Wii U in Europe?

7. If I use HDMI, PAL and NTSC won't be a problem, correct?

8. Does Nintendo have international warranty?

That's all of them, thanks! :D

Hello,

I have the AT2020 USB Microphone, and I basically only use it for podcasting. I didn't buy the XLR version since I didn't know if my PC supported it or not. But I recently read that if you use XLR, the audio quality will be much better. So I'm looking for some way to be able to use XLR without buying the XLR version. I have the ASUS Xonar DX soundcard.

I've been looking at converters that would work in this order:

AT2020 > USB Female to USB Female > USB Male to XLR Female > XLR Female to 3.5mm Jack

Would this work or increase the audio quality at all? Or does someone have any other suggestions?

Thanks!
- Nima :D

Hello!

I'm looking for a software that allows my microphone to only be activated when I'm actually talking. Because my AT2020 USB picks up a lot of background noise and my keyboard and mouse, so I need something that does the above function. I use Skype by the way.

Thanks!

Hello :D

I'm soon going to buy a gaming laptop, and I need some recommendations!
My budget is: 1600 USD
No Alienware laptops please, they're too big for my use. Other than that,
any laptops will do!

Thanks!

Hello :D I'm thinking of getting the Astro A40, but I don't have a 7.1 soundcard. So I have some questions. Do I need a 7.1 soundcard for the Astro A40 to work? If yes, please do recommend some cheap, but good ones :) Do I need an optical port? If yes, how would I get one? Thanks :D

Hello! :D

I currently have the Gamecom 780 headset. But because it is not 100% over-ear and it is really, really tight, I've begun experiencing pain in my jaw and my ear because the headset is really tight. So I'm looking for a replacement, but I really suck at looking for headsets xD

If anyone have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. There is no budget right now, I just want to look at my options :) The headset should be completely over-ear, it definitely should not be tight, it has to have 7.1 surround sound, no wireless and of course a microphone.

Thank you so much! :D
