[QUOTE="Immortal_Evil"][QUOTE="DementedDragon"]Could it be yet another shooter? Is that all Epic makes?DementedDragon

Why would they make anything different?

I was curious since all I hear about them making are shooters; just wanted to see if they pursued other avenues.

They made aturn based game called age of wonders.

PSM france reveals new info on PS3 SIXAXIS rumble

This months edition of PSM France reportedly reveals lots of new information on the upcoming rumble enabled Official PS3 SIXAXIS controller. One of the interesting revelations is that the controller may contain 'touch sense' which will mean the vibrations do not emanate solely from the handles but various places of the Lever and developers should be able to create a multitude of effects.

Technical details

- the gyroscopic functions can cohabit with the vibrations. The explanation? The speed to which a player can move the lever is quite lower at the speed of the vibrations.
- the engine of vibration could be inclu in the lever without having to modify the form of it. There is enough place for the new engine, and this one, concus by Immersion, are lighter for an obstruction equivalent.
- One indeed has to expect a reduction in the autonomy of Sixaxis. Nevertheless, the new engine of vibration does not consume more than the old models (Dualshock) in spite of the fact that it is more powerful.
- the new engine is less expensive to build, and a possible rise in price of the pad should be only very light.
- With an update of the firmware, we will be able to have the vibrations for plays PS2

Details on the "touchsense":

New technology, named "Touchsense" is a mini-revolution. Indeed, from now on, the vibrations will not emanate solely any more from the handles of the pad (as on Dualshock) but will be perceptible in various places of the lever. It as should be specified as they will be more powerful, more intense and over short periods if the programmers wish it. Thus, the developers will be able to create a multitude of still new effects. If Sony chooses this technology, it will thus not act of a simple return of the vibrations, but well of a very new technology
- This technology will be able to reproduce the fast jolt and forces caused by a shot,
- Immersion promises that one will be able to feel the asperities of the road in the plays of race (like Dirt), but also small shocks related on the shiftings of speed and even to accelerations or decelerations.

Not to be mean but it was annoucned that sony and epic games were creating a game together at gdc 07.

Redfingers

Is it possible to find a link to this?

I've actually read a statement from Rein saying they "missed the boat" on creating a PS3 exclusive for the PS3 launch and that it takes a few years, something they didn't have.

GDC 07, epic annoucned that they have 2 unannoucned games (whihc will most likely be annoucned at e3), one exclusive to ps3 (which is most likely this game), and one exclusive to xbox 360 (gears of war 2 most likely).

Is it possible to link this because I cannot find anything about 2 unannounced games or a PS3 exclusive to save my life.

And so Epic taking advantage of both of them has begun... Wonder what Microsofts answer will be for this PS3 game? Another epic game perhaps? They have got them right where they want them... It became obvious with the Unreal Engine. Not to mention making exclusive content in any of the two will cost them.

Nothing gamers should complain about really... quite the contrary :D .

jg4xchamp

Hmmm. I think that might actually happen. THis might force MS to spend a little more money on Epic and have them make an exclusive, maybe even let the mappacks be even cheaper or be free quicker, maybe even free overall. This could get interesting. Gamers and Epic could be big winners here.

MS doesnt need another exclusive. They have GeoW2 coming from Epic already

there is no such thing as doesnt need another exclusive. MS will put more money out if they see fit. Gears of War 2 and maybe another EPIC exclusive could be a huge possibility if MS feels there relationship with Epic is iffy, and IF the PS3 game is looking very impressive.

If it is published by sony, ms can't put the money out. It is like saying that microsoft could buy lair, or heavenly sword.

Does anyone know on thsi forum how much that game cost? Also how much did Unreal tournament cost? I was thinking of writing an editorial on my blog about fps, and how really budgets are the only way that some fps are better then others. I just need data for it. Thanks.

Wow im suprised Killzone even remotly deserves to be in this thread............

I think Crysis will be best......and with the highest score. But i think i will enjoy Halo 3 the most judging by the Beta and love for Halo 1:D

desktopdefender
COD 4, blacksite, and killzone 2 don't deserve in this thread. They are not on the same caliber as halo 3, crysis, and unreal.

[QUOTE="Rhaxdric"]Looks like Gt5 will own Forza 2 just like GT4 owned the first. I love Gran Turismo.desktopdefender

Dude i love both and played both and well we all know it

Forza>>>>>>>>GT4

Though that could change in the future

I disagree. GT4 had better graphics, more cars, anddriving was a little more natural. While forza 2 had damagable cars, and online.

I feel that GT4 did not have better graphics only he car models look better everything else i belive went to forza in the graphics department, driving alittle more natural? woah guess you havnt played forza........

I played it on xbox (scared of buying it on forza 2). The car damage really doesn't make the driving natural, it feels a little awkward. I'm sorry but, that is my opinion from a game I own. Forza 2 might have improved this though.
