@pezzott1 @neptune432 @higochumbo Still, microtransactions in a $60 game that is also primarily a single-player experience is no good. Making them pay-to-win doesn't help either.
@stagethree These kinds of deals are done by the publisher, not the developers. So blame Activision, not Bungie, they have shown in many ways (like for example in their weekly blog posts) that they do care about their fans.
And just because all the people who bought Xbox's who were also fans of Halo bought their games, doesn't mean those people are just entitled to get whatever they want instead of everyone else. That's just being a self-entitled brat.
@pezzott1 @higochumbo It's already ruined. Ubisoft is implementing pay-to-win microtransactions (in a $60 game nonetheless). They explained which kinds of microtransactions are wrong for free-to-plays, then pretty much described their microtransactions as being exactly that, calling it a 'shortcut.' They are even doing the same for AC: Unity (no really). No doubt they will make it so that it will take an incredibly long time to get things normally so that you will be more tempted to just buy what you want in the game (both games I mean). Look it up, I believe there are articles for the microtransactions for both games.
@higochumbo It's actually a good game (played alpha and beta), it's just overhyped, and sometimes not marketed in a way that fully shows just what the game is completely like. In some parts it's repetitive, but still good fun, especially with friends. It bascially fixed what was wrong with Borderlands, then added some Halo, then made it similar to an MMO. It's easy to get into, and addictively fun. It can be challenging too.
Also, don't judge from gameplay videos. This is one of those games that you need to actually experience rather than watch, otherwise you don't get the full effect.
@sexhale @neptune432 @starjay009 You are fairly right! Now that that I look at my comment, I kind of feel like a fanboy or something. It's true that you don't have to constantly upgrade, and the parts you need are pretty cheap. It's just that I'm not sure how to change the parts in my computer, and even if I look it up, I'm too lazy to upgrade. I like having everything I need at once, without having to change it. So while PC gaming is great, I don't know if I'm going to do all that (small) amount of work. I just enjoy having everything at once is all. There's nothing wrong with either though.
@starjay009 You are one of the few PC gamers to think of that! The reason I don't play on PC so much is that I don't want to constantly pay for new graphics, plus I'm not good with this technology stuff. Thank you for being a cool PC gamer
