The irony here for me is that I was going to buy the game AFTER THE REVIEWS of Gamespot, 1UP and Eurogamer because I felt I felt informed about what I was getting, I was interested in the story and thanks to the honest reviews I would of spent my 60 euros and not been too disappointed.

After this? Never. There are so many other games out there that I can now ignore Eidos published ones and never feel I lost out. Smart advertising.

This amounts to a public execution of a figurehead, and I feel terrible for the other skilled staff at Gamespot who now have to live under this. Ended my paid subscription to this site, and no longer will I be using reviews here.

Rainbow Six Vegas is longer and possibly more visually impressive where GRAW2 is short but paced with big action scenes, so if you are looking for campaign longevity then Six is your disc. I would opt to get both if you can however.

Online I can speak highly of RSV since I play fairly often (though not so well) and every match is a blast, fun and munition wise. The cover system is the same as it is in single player as are all other aspects and this means if you can play campaign you can play online with little learning curve; the same can not be said of GRAW2 which feels very different in multi-player. GRAW2 I have tried to get into online but as yet have not managed, half because I spend so much time in Vegas online and half because I do not like the feel of the gameplay despite absolutely loving it's campaign mode.

If you enjoy tight area tactical battle in (mostly) short explosive bursts then you'll want Rainbow, however if you prefer large scale battles with lots of action in quick succession then the short but sweet GRAW2 fits the bill.

PS3 browser, so limited. Anyway this continues. So after 40 minutes at level 4 I removed the filters from the air intake and within 2 minutes it dropped to level 2. So now I must decide weather I am more worried about dust killing the system OR being hot most of the time - both are bad options but since the PS3 is capable of shutting it's self off if it is close to overheating I think leaving the filters on is for now the better of the two, I'll just have to try and ventilate the room where possible until I can buy a cabinet for the consoles. Anyone new with any ideas? Compressed air actually a good plan? Perhaps I will buy a small household air compresser to save money on the overpriced tins. Also anyone have ideas for the 360? Hope this came out ok because as I said this PS3 browser aint the best ;)

Ok, posting from PS3 here so no spellcheck for me. I have the HORI Dust filters now and have been playing about with them, they are built fairly well and have a very thin, fine filter inside for catching smoke and dust - which appears to work execpt.. They appear to includer filters for inlet vents AND outlet vents (top side if standing) which is just plain silly and so I have trimmed the top filter to cover only air in not out since with all of them attached the machine has a harder time expelling hot air from the top. Results then.. Not great. But this might be Euro only since the US/*** PS3's appear to be so much better at venting hot air from the side as well as the back than the EU ones do (we have a ton of threads on this on the eu playstation forum), for the most part my PS3 with the filters on sits at fan level three - which it always does under any condition - but should it kick into level 4 the filters appear to hinder it. I left it at XMB after an hour of Resistence, it was at 4. -continued

[QUOTE="nailerr"]

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]DS uses WEP which is ok to useJaysonguy

WEP is very easy to break these days. But as far as I have seen the DS can not use WPA, and this is why I can't use mine online. Damn shame.

No, it's not VERY easy but it's easier

Considering that the average router isn't going to go much farther then the middle of the yard at your home, sure lock down the network when you see the white van outside parked between your mailbox and the front door. Until then don't worry so much about it.

Recent headline was having it broken in three minutes of packet capture. There are a lot of GUI tools out there now too so you hardly have to be in the know to do it over.

Incidentally I can use my WLAN from the car parked outside the garden gate, the range on these things is not too bad sometimes.

Sorry, wont seem to shrink that pic.  But thats why I don't use wep.

The Xbox 360 has it's popups semi smart in that be it programmed or automatic the popup is usually moved somewhere so it obscures as little HUD as possible.  The PS3 should have no problem doing this later on.

It definitely helps to have some regular players on your rota, even if you do not know them so well.

We have open games, usually a group of the same people involved and a few who joined our anti-clan (just a lose collection of horrible people) and it's always good to hear some new and inventive bashing going on, although if someone just resorts to name calling it quickly becomes tedious.  On the other hand a quick barrage of well honed abuse usually quietens them up a bit.

Remove headset from controller, then play. (XBL)funnymario

Well what I am trying to get at here is are people in general actually OFFENDED by the things they hear while playing, or is it all just part of how it happens?  Can I assume by your described action you do prefer not to hear such things?  Particular reasons?
