Well I will admit that I'm bummed that Ninja Gaiden isn't coming to PC. I guess I can still hope, but odds are slim. SF 4 will be fun when I have buddies over, but I'd like to find a new martial arts walk thru to play for myself in the near future.

Other than that though, there aren't many new (blockbuster) games coming out for consoles that aren't making there way to PC. Any top 10 seller list for xbox or ps3 you see 9 of the games are available or will be available for PC. I just am not seeing the plethora of good combo fighters coming out right now. Although 2009 is looking promising, so far.

There is one game for Wii though, that looks like it could be just over the top. Tenchu: Shadow Warriors. Similar to my description above, a walk thru combo fighter, except its a wii and I'd have to get my fat ass off the couch and perform kung fu on my living room floor with some phony nunchaku's. It sounds like it could be fun. But not really what I was talking about.

Quite frankly, there aren't any kung fu games for consoles that are up to par either. Plenty of One or two button mashers, and plenty of fighting games. But none on any system that utilizes a fighting game combat engine in a story mode walk thru. I guess tekken 4 had a cheasy little thing, but that was pretty weak.

Ok, I know Street Figher is coming out for PC, and X Blades looks promising. Ninja Gaiden will most likely not be coming to PC. I liked Dynasty Warrior and Warriors Orochi, but when I think Kung Fu I want something more(specifically skill based combinations). Jade Empire was pretty awesome, but still didn't have the combat quite where I dream about.

But I'm thinking I want something along the lines of a Devil May Cry, 3rd person, action fighter with lots cool combos( actually more combos than DMC), and a beautiful asian set.

To me I would love to see a game that uses a combat engine similar to tekken/mortal kombat but in a walkthru/story mode. Possibly some minimal RPG features allowing different fighting schools and/or weapons. But the key being the fighting engine should be complex in terms of different punches/kicks/swords and combos like you would see in Street Fighter or Tekken or MK.

It would be awesome to have a game that allows you increase your skills powers, etc. but just because you have those skills doesn't mean you get to simply push a button to blast a powerful spell that wipes everyone. I liked that about DMC the more skills you require the more access you had to combos you can pull off, but you still have to pull off the combos.

Who's with me? Anyone else want to see a asian martial arts game that lives up to the challenge?

seriously for you guys/gals who want to see a good martial arts game come to the PC, what do you want to see?
