The biggest tip and best advice anyone can give you about buying a 360 is simply to buy an Extended Replacement Plan at the place you buy it from. This will save you *alot* of trouble, trust me.

whats the percentage rate for your 360 to get RROD if you have the falcon chip in ur 360?wwe_xbox360

It's still pretty high, actually. I see these threads pop up all the time on different forums and gamespot/faqs with people crying about their new xbox getting RROD or even worse, E74. Of course, this is all speculation, I don't believe any official statements have been released about the newer chipsets failure rate, but I honestly doubt if you compare the numbers they would be much different than the previous chipsets rate. It also seems the newer chipsets have a higher E74 rate than previous versions, too.

If you want my advice, I say sell the xbox on ebay/craigslist and purchase a new one at Best Buy with an Extended Replacement Plan that way when the console does inevitably fail again you can just pop it into BB and recieve a new one that day.

Yeah it'll work. Unfortunatly it has only one connector, so you cannot connect both PC and 360 at the same time. You'll either need to get sometype of KVM or switch to switch between PC/360, or do it manually. As for sound, most people just hook it up to their computer and play it through line-in. The 8ms response time shouldnt cause you much problems if you can play computer games with it currently. Pretty much every other company measures their response time differently since there is no standard currently so they can make it say whatever they want. Its usually best to check reviews of the monitor via google before buying to see if people have reported problems with ghosting or not.

I'd *strongly* suggest to find a monitor that has dual connectors so that you can connect both PC and 360 at the same time. Also, the vga cable package comes with a sound converter so that you can plug it into any standard line-in jack (which many PC speakers have).

You can pick up a nice VGA set-up at walmart for pretty cheap. They have 21" widescreen monitors for around 170-200 bucks and a pair of speakers with line-in ports for 10.

I've been playing this game solo/single-player since its release (with exception of a few days) and I have yet to play vs anyone or online. Its just as fun as the previous SC games. However, it would have been nice to see Chronicles of the Sword show up this time around too...oh well.

Its worth renting if you just want to play offline, or if you're like me and are able to enjoy fighters by yourself then I'd suggest to buy it.

I don't know why more people don't sell their games on ebay or through a game trading website. Gamestop doesn't give you nearly the amount you could be getting.

did you tell them initially about e74 though? cause i already called them once and they said 100 bucks

think i could trick em and say its rrod or they would probably check

lbhocky19

No, I didn't tell them I had E74. I did it all online. I pretty much refuse to talk to M$ represenatives again after having multiple bad experiences with them over the phone. You should be able to just do it online, give it a shot. Goodluck.

I played the demo, I liked it for the most part. The only thing I didn't care too much for was it feeling incredibly slow to me. I loved controling that sniper chick, felt pretty good shooting with her for the first time from so far away. Though, maybe the reason I liked her was because I didn't have to move her that much. Oh and yeah, what a HORRIBLE camera!

I don't see the big deal with oblivion. I tried to get into that game like 5 times and failed miserably each time. It just feels too big and yeah, boring. I followed the story mode all the way to shortly after the second gate each time and honestly I couldnt stand any moment of it. The combat itself was nice, the spellcasting and melee swinging, its just...it took me so long to progress any of the story, which wasn't that interesting to begin with, that I found myself losing interest rather quick. Also it felt like there was no direction in the game. It was just too 'sandbox' for my style, I guess. Which is also the main reason I could never get into the GTA series either. Some sandbox is fine, but when you have a world like oblivion it feels alittle too overwhelming for some people, especially those of us who are used to mostly-linear RPGs with characters and a story backbone. Oblivion seperates itself from the RPG crowd by offering combat and sandboxing over characters and story.

I really, really hope that Fallout 3 doesnt follow the same path as Oblivion. Unfortunatly, it most likely will. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll throw in character depth and a good story line. I wouldnt mind sandboxing really if the story was good enough. I'll be giving Fallout 3 a shot.
