While I applaud this 2-3 year consoles cycle, I think they are mistakenly mixing fans with real buyers. I may be an enthusiast but 80% of sales are done by more casual gamers.

I play as him a lot and I see this ok is way too powerful is capable of shot down a 500 HP tank in a blink.

@emptycow718: yes I neither sold on 60fps it may play more fluid but it really make games like cheap TV shows. Maybe for players it's a must but I'm not a pro player I "just" want to have a great time with the games I play. I mean let's take Doom (@60) and Destiny (@30) as examples, I played the hell out of them and never felt that @60 fps were more fluid or controlled better.

That said with all the 4K TVs out there they are going to need raising the resolution somehow in the future. I envision indie games running at 4K and AAA or bigger games running at somewhere between 1080-4k @60, I'll rather go with 30 fps but that is what people is claiming for.

We looked into it and found that hundreds of other players had avoided him (he's a nice guy--they avoided him because they did not want to play against him, not because of misbehavior)

People avoid him because want to have fun what means playing with people of similar skill level, paying against the "the best player in the world " is not fun for neither part. That is what matchmaking should achieve but it seems that developers doesn't find it fair enough.

Right now (and for at least 3-4 years) 4K for under $600 is an utopia even if graphics settings aren't maxed out. It would be better and more realistic to aim for 1440p@60 and rely on upscaling techniques to fit 4K TVs.

@JRD1912: yes it will be somewhere between $500 and $600 but even so that is a lot of money for console buyers, remember what happened with the $600 PS3.

I prefer consoles over PC so of course I will buy the most powerful console available whether it be the Scorpio or the Neo. I find reasonable to spend whatever it cost because I have had the PS4 for 3 years and it have paid off. But no doubt these new consoles are gonna be more expensive than curren ones, maybe too expensive for many people so I'm curious about what it's going to happen.

Played it recently, it was fun as hell at the beginning but the combat quickly became repetitive. Overall a fun experience but not a remarkable one.
