I suspect the big deciding factor for a lot of people will be when Disney launches a live-action Star Wars TV show, exclusive to its streaming service...

@Berserk8989: Personally I'd rather have just had a recast Tarkin. The second of the two CG recreations worked better because the shot was so fleeting and it would have been weird to plonk a different actor down for that scene. But there was just too much of Tarkin for it work for me... I kept looking between Mendelsohn and Tarkin, and seeing the vast differences between a real human and a fake one...!

@gatsbythepig: hey, sorry for the late reply! I was referring to the manga here (hence 'collected into 12 graphic novels '), but chapters may have been a less confusing term.

@snk0610:$150 million was indeed the production budget, but on top of that the studio could have easily spent 50% again on promotion and advertising. The studio will probably get 50-60% of the domestic gross--the theatres get the rest. And in the case of overseas profit, that figure is far lower - after expenses the studio might only take away 15% of its gross, which is bad news for a movie that Genysis which made most its money overseas! This breaks it down well: http://io9.com/5747305/how-much-money-does-a-movie-need-to-make-to-be-profitable
