Having trouble with Historic Racing Car Cup and Gran Turismo All Stars (Expert Series) Any car tips?

dabest2500

I used my Mazda 787B (Stealth Edition, from the Signature Edition).
I tried giving my Lamborghini something (the one that looks like a Countach) steroids but I still can't beat the likes of the Toyota 7...

I didnt get the signature edition so I dont have the Masda :( I tried with the fully tuned Countach but that didnt work either. Probably level up and win the Toyota Minolta from Extreme Series and try with that.

EDIT: New patch has come out, v1.03, which adds mechanical damage to online and arcade modes. There are 3 damage options;

  • "None" – No mechanical damage.
  • "Light" – Mechanical parts can be damaged, but will "automatically be repaired after a short time has passed."
  • "Heavy" – Mechanical damage will be more severe, and can only be repaired by making a pit stop. Damaged parts will be indicated with on-screen icons.

Mark Webber raced in the final four grands prix of the 2010 campaign with a fractured shoulder after suffering a mountain bike accident ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Australian, who was leading the title standings at the time of the crash, kept the injury secret from his team at the time and only revealed it to the public in a new book he has just published.

Webber says that he suffered the injury after colliding with a friend - which came on his first time back on a mountain bike since he broke his leg and fractured his shoulder during a crash in Tasmania in late 2008.

In his book, 'Mark Webber Up Front', Webber reveals that he needed pre-race injections to overcome the pain the injury was causing.

In extracts from the book published on the BBC, Webber says: "On the Sunday morning before (the Japanese Grand Prix weekend at) Suzuka, I got on a mountain bike for the first time since my accident in Tasmania at the end of 2008.

"I was riding with a great friend of mine. Suddenly, he crashed right in front of me and I had nowhere to go but straight through the ears of the horse! I suffered what they call a skier's fracture to my right shoulder.

Webber said he told his physiologist and the F1 medical officer about the injury, which was too small to treat directly, and took coritsone shots before the Suzaka and Korean races.

"Suzuka is a brutal track so it was a blessing that the Japanese weather gave me an enforced rest day on the Saturday (when qualifying was rained off), and a pre-race injection helped, too. In the end, we got through the weekend all right."

Got all golds for the licenses. IC-10 is definitely the most annoying/difficult one. Saved that one for last :lol:SchumiF1

:o Are you using a wheel ? Its going to be almost impossible for me to get all golds for licenses, I might not even attempt it. :(

I thought it was a good episode, but I can't remember the last time we have met any friendly aliens. I didn't realise this was the mid season episode until you guys said, it didn't feel like a big cliffhanger like we usually get.

WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES MALDONADO FOR 2011

Williams has confirmed that GP2 champion Pastor Maldonado will be its second driver in 2011, taking the seat occupied by Nico Hulkenberg this season.

Maldonado had been extensively linked with Williams in recent months, and tested for the team during the recent rookie sessions in Abu Dhabi, where he also spent two days with Hispania. He is believed to bring significant levels of personal sponsorship to the team.

"I feel very privileged that Williams has selected me as one of their race drivers," Maldonado said. "It is a great way to end what has already been an amazing year for me.

"I tested with the team in Abu Dhabi, but can't wait to start working with everyone properly to be in the best possible shape going into next year. I will be doing my best over the winter to prepare myself, and I know the team will be working hard to ensure a successful season.

"2011 will be the first time in nearly 30 years that a Venezuelan has driven a Formula 1 car so I will be looking to get some good results in return for the support my country has given me to help get me to this position today."

The 25-year-old took the GP2 title with seven victories this year, but team boss Frank Williams said he had been watching Maldonado's progress since his maiden GP2 win in Monaco with the Trident team in 2007, when he had just moved across from the World Series by Renault.

"Pastor first caught my eye in 2007 when he drove a masterful race at Monaco," Williams said. "Since then, he has regularly reminded us of his unquestionable talent with some skilful wins, particularly during this year's GP2 championship, taking an unsurpassed record of six successive victories.

"Of course, we already know Pastor from the time he spent with the team at the Abu Dhabi test, but we are very much looking forward to developing his talent over
the winter and a fruitful season with him next year."

Williams has already announced that Rubens Barrichello will be retained as its other race driver next season, with Valtteri Bottas remaining in the test and reserve role.

@Garfield: We only have to wait for a couple of weeks to see if we get an mechanical damage patch according to Kaz. I think we will see a good few updates from that list because god knows how long they will take to release GT6. I'm pretty certain we will get DLC content. They allready have that crappy facebook game where you can get a free Jag, so i'm pretty sure we'll get more substancial DLC in the future.

Regarding the youtube thing, I doubt that iy will be implemented.  Rendering videos in a good quality takes forever even if your computer has a good processor I dont think someone wants to sit half an hour in front of the PS3 and wait until the video is done.
