He never said Diablo as a whole was turning anime... And he is entirely right regarding WoW and its slide towards Asian flavored content. What companies need to realise is the asians love western design and art as much as we do.

@Benjo_t Yeah most people are simply saying that this 'view' of the diablo universe totally sucks. Just because you CAN look at something a certain way doesn't mean its a good idea.

Jay Wilson is absolutely flawless in all of his interviews. In his own words "Perfectly Executed".

Management is destroying more then just the gaming industry, some of the worlds leading IT companies are also suffering due to poor management...and lets not even go near the Australian Government *shudder*. But at least in the gaming world where no one really has true monopoly; where one company fails, another seems to blossom. When there is demand, which for games I will hazard to say there always will be, the bar will continue to rise. I am personally happy that a company such as this (getting lost in the management layer and basing their entire strategy on one technology which was at that stage yet unproven) is suffering. I myself have lived through 2 company 'meltdowns' resulting in massive downsizing and layoffs, both times as I was a contractor found myself looking for work elsewhere. While it does suck for the people, its necessary for the industry. Hopefully now they will continue developing the titles they know will deliver a profit, stick to the core gameplay, and allocate a small portion of the budget to dabble around with new technologies and see where it takes them. Oh, and just lay off the acquisitions for a while...
