I got a Asus P8Z77 deluxe mobo and had some issues with it so I'm sending it back to my retail store and they are sending me a new one. I had done a BIOS update(ver 1.5 to 1.6) on the mobo which went bad by windows using AI suite 2 from ASUS,after I recieve the new MOBO i guess the BIOS will still have the version 1.5 .. My question is

(1) will I have to re install my win 7 or

(2)Uninstall the drivers before installing the mobo ? or

(3) just do a clean format to be safe ?

My data is backed up so no worries about formating but my main concvern is I dont want to re format my SSD as its just a 20 day old from the time I installed win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and reformating the SSD dosn't feel appropriate to me as u know the read and write life time of SSD's :(

The 7950 is a great card, and I've seen it go on sale as low as $250 after rebate. Problem is that AMD hasn't announced a release date for their new video cards, however it has almost been one year since they released the 7000 series so the new cards can be released any time maybe one month maybe in 4 months. The only we have a o real way of knowing unless amd tells us

Yes, You are right. As Amd always releases a new series of cards every year so I guess Ill probably wait till march, and AMD will announce by then. The worst part is they never announce any thing very soon and the same with N vidia.Well, Ill invest in something else then, its christmas time and I really wanted to buy something nice but can't get the Christmas excitement leaving me biased later on :P..I guess I'll wait.

My main reason to buy this card is that I'm not gonna buy one for a next few years ..but I dont want to buy now and see a card comming up after 3 months. So I'm just confused as there is no flagship from both the brands ...and they are just comming up with upgraded versions of the current gen cards. .. I'm a bit skeptical about buying one now if some one can convince me to buy this now and assure me that this will be it ..I'll go for it :)

HI everyone,

Its been a while since the launch of this card ,I guess it was april 2012 ,I don't see any new flagship from ATI or N-Vidia either. My question is I play games on Highest resolution and use just one monitor ,I'm currently using the XFX ATI HD 5870 which I got 3 years ago,I don't have any problems with it but some games like Skyrim,BF3 and few others can't keep up with it on Ultra settings .. and I'm forced to play them only on high settings butunable to get good fps on ultra settings.I want to buy a card that cant last me atlest 3 years for the up comming games on ultra settings..

So is the Sapphire HD 7970 OC edition a good bet for me now or I shall wait for a while for their next architecture ?

Xbox live -65 days in MW2,then Black ops 15 days, Endless hours on SF4 and SFF4 online ... it has to be more than COD I suppose.

Single player - GTA San andreas ,RDR,now playing borderlands with 40 hrs of gameplay(lvl 30):P
