As much as crytek try to dazzle us with their ridiculous attempt to change the subject on their site incrysis.com they cant fool me. I havent forgot about that patch they so promised 2 weeks after the games launch and siriously its probably the reason people dont play the game cos even at medium old comps just choke and stutter. All hell has broken loose. Some guy went with me into a game store picked up the game cd case and said i wont be able to afford this game..i was like wtf its the same price as the other game u bought,,,he looked at me and said, well i dont need a new comp for this...^^. Sli/Crossfire performance problems ^^. Dudes. THere making crysis for xbox360 but with less graphics. Low sales must really convinced them. Oh for heaven sakes just give us the patch so we all shut up.
REVELATION: I found out today after i added 2gb extra ram to make it 4GB (in vista 32bit =3454mb) That you dont get extra frame rates instead >>>> u get faster load times and stable frame rates! :) My ram is ddr2 800mhz. I set all high (finally) and Dynamic object setting to very high. I enjoy the game much more now cos i can concentrate on not getting killed >> the jerking framerate and stuttering in some occasions really wasnt nice so i used lower settings. I'm within 28-34 framerates i think. Its very good for me. I wont ugrade my comp until next december or 2009 january cos crysis 2 is not out and my comp can run every other game. I would advice those without money growing in the garden to aim for ram if you already have the recommended settings spec. Besides if we save money for the next upgrade we will be prepared. I dont think QuadCore right now makes a biig difference. GOOD RUMOR: I dont own a ps3 but sony hinted they Might give PS3 more ram and Cytek comfirmed they porting cryengine 2 to ps3 not crysis.... with more ram crysis could be run on " High settings" with optimisation. The cell processor will ofcourse do wonders if its used properly because Quat: Cell processor works is that there is a pool of 16 or so of these (probably not completely identical) cores on a single die. Each does specific tasks on 3d rendering and sound etc. So well if u bought a ps3 already too bad lol.Im all PC hardcore but the thought of ps3 running Crysis with more ram is exciting
