@notjm: I understand what you are saying, but I watched the hour long video with Digital Foundry and the Bluepoint Developers, and they said because of environment in Demon Souls, that ray tracing would not add much. The few places where you can see reflections, the reflections look the way I expect them to look.

The game is definitely next generation for me. Those load times are amazing, and the game looks beautiful in both video modes. I smile every time I load into the game, because it is so fast :)

@varez: You clearly don’t have a PS5, or you need to get your eyes checked. Demon Souls looks and plays amazingly. They could make it playable on a PS4, but they would have to scale it way back.

The Dual Sense works great in Astro’s Playroom. Demons Souls, it wasn’t to impressive.

When the controllers features are implemented by the developers, it works well, but besides single player, no one will be using those features, while playing COD. Even the reviewer admitted he did worse with the features enabled, while playing multiplayer.

Everyone is trying to hype this controller, and don’t get me wrong, it is the best PlayStation controller to date, at least for me. It’s finally big enough for my hands. But, once you play for a while, the controllers features just fade into the background, just like rumble controllers.

“Massive Gamechanger,” not even close.

The obtuse aspects of the game are what add to the magic of the game. You are not supposed to know everything. Demon Souls goes out if it’s way to keep secrets from you, which adds to the atmosphere.

The world tendencies are fine, they are in lockstep with the “obtuse“ aspect of the game.

@notjm: You are kidding right? The SSD alone makes it next-gen feeling. You no longer have to sit and wait for games to load, and when you die, you barely have to wait. As a PC gamer using SSD’s for a while now, I had given up playing console games, because of the wait times, and the loading screens taking forever.

I couldn’t agree more with the list posted. Quick Resume is on the horizon hopefully. And, the theme and optimization options are sorely lacking. Coming from Xbox, and being able to make the dashboard reflect what I want, is sorely lacking.

And please add in storing PS5 games on an external hard drive.

@gamerforlife96: You can just look up the all time sales numbers of the games you listed, and see where they rank. Don’t shoot the messenger. Demon Souls was an amazing game, and it’s sales rank wasn’t impressive. Games like Detroit: Become Human sold more. TLOU games sold more. Heavy Rain, I believe sold more.

Incoming......Microsoft purchases From Software...... That would be a mic drop moment.

I doubt this would happen, but boy oh boy, Phil is awful friendly with From.
