I am not sure why so many people are complaining about the price of the Wii controlller, real money is spendt in research, testing, development and advertising. If software and hardware manufactueres did not see good return on their investment, they would go through the motions, let us not forget that game companies do this for profit, not to keep us entertained. If they did not make money, then we would all be playing PONG on a B&W television. The Wii is a terrific system that has opened up a new methods of gaming. It would not be my frst pick for a next gen system, but still needs to be applauded for taking risks. the existing Wii controller is new and interesting and far more interactive than XBOX and PS3 controllers, but are only capable of a limited number of moves. This add-on will give the Wii controller much better range of motion, and more paly options, that in turn will attract the interest of software developmers.....so if you want to move beyond Wii sports and the countless kiddie titles that use the same limited range of motion, then do not purchase the upgrade........but for what it offer in the future, the $40 price tag to upgrade both of my controllers seems like drop in the bucket.........I will be getting mine, I will make the purchase gladly and soon. ..:: dante
