Eh, they're alright. I get bored of them really quickly though...I could never listen to the greatest hits album I had from start to finish.

Loved the books, read all of them multiple times. I originally thought I'd tire of them after a few years, but I still go back to them. I've also enjoyed the movies...they're not Oscar-quality, but they're still entertaining.

I watched an awesomely bad Eddie Murphy movie (The Adventures of Pluto Nash?) on HBO years ago because I was up early and had nothing else to do.

You'll probably need to reinstall it with a disc. Since you already paid for it, it wouldn't be ethically/morally wrong to find a friend who has a disc, but if you have to pay for it, you may as well go to Windows 7.

I think it's great. I've seen it on 70mm at the cinema and is also one of the very few DVDs I actually own.

Remember this movie was made before man walked on the moon. the computer graphics on screens in the space ship were all hand drawn animation because computers didn't even have screens let alone graphics at the time.

the plot is hard to understand without reading the book.

also look out for the massive sexual imagery/metaphor.

jasperrussell

Did Stanley Kubrick ever make a movie without blatant sexual imagery/metaphors? Maybe Paths of Glory...

You might want to ignore the people saying the novocaine shots aren't worth the trouble. I've never had a cavity, but I've had plenty of teeth pulled, and even though I'm sure the pain of getting cavities filled is less intense, I don't see why you wouldn't deal with 3 or 4 momentary pricks to avoid more prolonged pain.

The list of books I've read since birth would bring this site to its knees.

Jandurin

haha. Have you seen some of the walls of text posted on this site? :P

Disregard any political connotation-My list would be the online equivalent of the Berlin wall and the Great Wall of China.

Just follow the same line of reasoning people playing GTA follow when they decide to carjack random citizens: It's a game.

Actually I jack cars if the driver says something to me, if they're driving stupidly, or if they have a nice car. :)

Then you, sir, are too thoughtful to be involved in a Rock Paper Scissors debate.

It's almost painfully long, but it's highly rated and is considered a classic. I normally wouldn't recommed buying it, but $10 for the 2-disc set would probably be worth your money, especially if the extra features include interviews or commentaries with Kubrick.
