After 14 months of problem-free ownership, my Xbox 360 died a sudden death yesterday morning. After experiencing the 3 lights from hell, I jumped on the 'net and researched this topic for a couple of hours. What I found (and tell me if I'm wrong here) is that I'm definitely NOT alone. I read time after time of people on their 2nd or 3rd Xbox 360.
 I did what everyone else did - I called Microsoft, went through the menu, and decided that they had me in a corner. I'm dishing out the $140.00, and my package will be here soon, I guess. The rep told me the replacement will come with a 1 year warranty.Â
Like everyone else, I've considered my options.
If I keep it, it would seem I have at least a year to enjoy the replacement. If it dies within the year, I can always send it back - and get my 3rd 360....... just seems crazy to keep a piece of equipment that you know will probably breakdown.
What I'm seriously considering is selling the replacement (along with the 12 games I own) on ebay, and purchasing a PS3.
Tell me what you think. Please no BS PS3/Xbox "fanboy" comments either way. I'm not a fan either way - for or against any game or system. I buy what I'll use and just try to get my money's worth - this is not about PS3 vs. 360. Just give me your honest opinion about whether the 360 is worth keeping MORE than the PS3.
I know either way I'm taking a hit. I don't mind taking the hit if in the end I'm gonna have a reliable product that I can enjoy.

Dude, plug your xbox 360 powerbrick in properly, I had 3 red light before after I plug the powerbrick in properly it works perfectly, just try my method.
