I think nintendo made it just because they knew they would get a lot of press about it, (trust me it will be all over the news when it comes out) and the parents of fat kids will run out and get it. Think about it...If you had an overweight child who stayed inside all day playing video games, like a lot of overweight kids do, and the news told you of a new "videogame" that could help your kid lose weight, you would run out and get him this to try and trick him into losing weight - it will work
I dunno...I bought the GC one and it was kinda fun, but I could never handle controlling so many troops at once, and the voice acting and characters were incredibly annoying.
If they do I bet you will only be able to talk to people whose freinds codes you have....which could be a good thing, because listening to everyone talk trash on halo 2 got annoying very quick, so i just stopped using my headset.
I think it looks very fun, and is one of the few 3rd party titles that looks original and innovative, and the graphics also look impressive. Heres a Vid - http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21947.html
I have noticed Nintendo regularly stating that they are trying to make games appeal to everybody, and this concerns me. Mario Kart, for example. Reggie said that a new player will be able to pick up a "wii wheel" and be able to compete with an experienced player. What the hell is that? I don't wanna see grandma zoom past me in MK or kick my ass through some "family play options." I understand wanting to appeal to different audiences, but why are they changing the games that traditionally belong to "core" gamers? I think they need to learn the lesson : you can't please everyone, and right now it's coming at the expense of people like me who have been playing nintendo my whole life! I don't want to see my favorite games re-created to please the "non-gaming community."
