i found a temporary solution to making friends. This information is taken from www.nintendo3dsblog.com. an awesome website for all you 3ds lovers.

StreetPass is brilliant technology, but it's limiting with the inability to set messages longer than sixteen characters. Sure, it's the perfect length to profess to the world that "David is awesome," but what I want to expound the whole truth of "David is super duper awesome." That's where 3dstxt.com comes in.

You create a message containing any details you want, such as your friend code and email address. Then, a link is generated (example: http://3dstxt.com/FTJXH) and you set this URL as the message that fellow 3DS owners receive via StreetPass. When you walk past someone they'll be able to visit the website and you might end up having a new gaming buddy who doesn't live on the other side of the world.

But I wonder how Nintendo will respond to this loophole in their stance on privacy…

Basically if you add your own link on your streetpass greeting, they can visit your page if they go online and that way you can make friends not only on streetplaza but add friend codes on your 3ds. the catch is you will have to write down the link fast.

here is my link. hopefully its something some of you guys may consider doing if you want to have friends, lets take streetpass at its full advantage.

im excited for the 3ds this sunday regardless of crappy reviews but i completely agree with gamespot's score. why port something like splinter celll and take out multiplayer. This is suppose to be the year of next gen handhelds? Lots of ppl that play games today play ONLINE! the only game available at launch online is super street fighter iv : ( Developers quit slacking features that ppl love like the multiplayer aspect or the mulitplayer online. i'm sad ridge racer or madden or pro evolution soccer don't have online either.

[QUOTE="malpaya"][QUOTE="DerekLoffin"]

Handhelds are a lot about convenience, and stuff like that does end up hurting perception. It doesn't matter that is new technology, and that if you're diligent it won't be an issue save for long trips, many people will still run into it, and that's what they will remember.

gomakyle25

i totally agree with derekloffin

Of course you are, he is siding with you. Just remember, 3-5 hours for what the 3DS offers us is still really good. (I knowDerekLoffin said new technology doesn't matter) but when this new technology does a lot, 3D pictures, 3D gaming, music, and all of that stuff, I think 3-5 hours is fair enough.

3 days till we get our hands on the new nintendo handheld. how epic will that be?
