Hell Maj, ignore Silver. Best thing to do for credits is to play Rio/Reaper/Platinum and camp in the magic box with at least one Volus.

And try the Striker on a Turian Ghost, it does wonders, trust me.

N7v1K0

Yeah, I've seen people doing that trick on Rio...

Useful...so how long until Bioware removes it? :P I should probably take advantage of it while I can...

Also, I got my Striker points but I was using the Turian Havoc...I was actually just starting to like that gun towards the end...

So guys, how's progress for everyone in MP? Need any help or whatever?N7v1K0

Multiplayer Manifest is filling up...only need one more Volus Engineer to have all characters and customization options...

Still need a bunch of Ultra Rare weapons, though...

Pretty much need to play on Gold or Platinum matches...got the Challenges done for every Map on Bronze and Silver...

Need one more Challenge to complete the Resurgence category...trying to do the Striker Assault Rifle Challenge...but...either that's one of the worst guns in the game or I'm using it wrong...there just seems to be nothing good about it...too heavy, too weak, low ammo capacity, long reload, small clip, bad accuracy/kickback...I hate this gun but the challenge is almost done...

I've played a few matches on Gold after finishing the Silver Map challenges but I'm back to playing on Silver...which sucks! Is it just me or are Silver players the worst? I find they're often selfish, inexperienced, over-confident and care more about getting the most points than playing as a team...SCREW THE POINTS! HELP US GET MORE CREDITS, YOU IDIOT!!!

Ugh...I've used up all of my medi-gel and missiles trying to carry Silver matches so I could finish Extraction Challenges with characters I hate using! On Gold, people actually help each other...I almost never have to use any items because everyone sticks together instead of trying to go Lone Wolf, dying instantly and getting everyone who tries to revive them killed in the process...DAMN I HATE SILVER PLAYERS!!!

...Anyway...I'm still going for the N7 challenges, too...60 promotions...did the math and when I get every class promoted 13 times, that will be when I finish the challenge...right now, they've all been promoted 9 times (Adept 10 times)...once I get that Challenge done, I'll keep my characters at Lv. 20 and play Gold/Platinum exclusively...

Also played Gold offensively for the first time...usually play defense...some sort of support...character to take away shields/barriers, weaken armor, revive, cause distractions; ect...but I played as a Turian Ghost with a Cerberus Harrier...much more fun! :D And more effective, I'd say...

Need to finish a lot of weapons challenges...need to finish Collector, Cerberus and Geth challenges...a lot of 'play 200 waves as X character' challenges...need to finish Lone Wolf and need to play Gold/Platinum waves for Map challenges...but first, I ned to restock on my Missiles and Medi-Gels...

...Damn Silver Players...

Ah, the MEU. I missed this place.

Hello all again. Sorry that I have been gone for so long. ME3 and the endings hit my enthusiasm for ME pretty hard. I have played the multiplayer a good bit but struggling to complete even my second playthrough in singleplayer. I think I just needed a break though because as I look back at it now, the EC did help the endings a lot and I really miss the universe that Bioware created. As of right now, I'm pretty close to finishing my second playthrough of ME3, which is my insanity playthrough, and looking forward to starting my other 5 or so Shepards.

Now that I have finally gotten the sour taste out of my mouth from the endings though I think I'm ready to engage myself back into this wonderful universe and looking forward to seeing the news on ME4.

N7v1K0

Yeah, I think everyone's enthusiasm for ME took a hit from the ending...

Welcome back!

Indeed, aside from multiplayer there's no real incentive to play ME3 again (apart from when DLC's come out) :(

I suppose that's also part of the reason why I don't post much anymore :P

Yeah...I can't stand the fact that no matter how varied my 14 different Shepard's are, I'm pretty much going to see the exact same ending...:(

Just playing MP and waiting for ME4...

...

...Anyone else find it a little funny that almost everyone had a problem with the multiplayer announcement and now it's pretty much the only part that people play?

uh, I hope y'all get to see this.

Do you guys put skill points on Charm/Intimidate? I mean I know they improve as your Paragon/Renegade points raise up, but do you put some skill points to quicken the process?

kierwinyoung

I think Paragon/Renegade dialogue options are dependant on your Charm/Intimidate points in ME1...I think if you have a really high Paragon score but don't put any points into Charm, your Paragon dialogue options will be very limited...I think...not 100% certain...

Made sure to max out my Charm/Intimidate during most of my playthroughs...unfortunately, that lead to mostly Full Paragon or Full Renegade playthroughs...

But you don't put your skill points into them when you level up?

Yeah, I did...I made sure to put 1 or 2 points into Charm or Intimidate and then whatever leftover points I had I would put into Assualt Rifles or Heavy Armor or something...

But there's a cap on how many points you can put into Charm/Intimidate...in order to raise that cap, you need to get more Paragon or Renegade points...

For example, if you were playing as a pure Paragon and never get any Renegade points, you'll only be able to put like 3 points into Intimidate, I think...

This is taken from the Wiki:

Paragon points increase the available ranks in Charm; you also get extra Charm points from becoming a Spectre. As you obtain more Charm points, additional dialogue options will become available and you can unlock the 'Store Discount' which gives lower prices when buying from merchants.

Using Charm to resolve an apparently impossible situation can unlock the 'Charismatic' achievement.

Players should note that in the course of working toward 75% Paragon, four of the 12 points you can assign to Charm can be obtained simply by playing the game. So, to effectively assign skill points, a player could assign only eight points for Charm and still max out their Charm skill once their character reaches 75% Paragon. Additionally, as skills carry over from each playthrough of the game, it's possible to max Charm without spending any skill points through multiple playthroughs. (Each time you become a Spectre, you'll get a free point, as well as each time you raise your Paragon bar to a certain level, since the Paragon bar resets for each playthrough.)

Wow, I think Mass Effect 1 is the longest game of the 3 games.

Spending 33+ hours in my first characer and still busy finishing all the achievements/Trophies I can get in that one character.

ME1 really worth my money.

kierwinyoung

I think it takes at least 3 playthroughs to get all the achievements in ME1...

Yeah, it is but I'm going to make my Insanity mode quick just missions no assignments I'm gonna be tortured if I did some assignments, after that it's only the use skills remaining, and since my first playthrough is a soldier I'm going to make more Characters.

Oh, yeah...forgot about those skill use achievements...something I liked about those was after you get the achievement for a skill (say singularity), you can select that skill as a bonus power for any new characters you make...

And I'm not certain but I think if you use the power wheel to tell your squadmates to use powers, those will count toward the achievement...I might be wrong about that, though...
