I like gaming at high refresh rate and high fps - i think this is something console gamers (gamespot) do not understand well yet. Combine high refresh rate and high fps with a 1440P native monitor and now I need some serious hardware.

It will be hard to choose between 1080 and the 980TI because the 980TI prices are dropping while its performance is very close to the 1080. It may come down to studying the features the 1080 offers and deciding if they are useful

Release date still a bit murky to me - I understand they will release 1080's that are $100 overpriced first to milk the early adopters and then hopefully soon after they will release the same card at the $599 price

Best new game i've played in many years (like a decade? Warcraft, Quake III, CounterStrike all came out a loong time ago)
Fun gameplay!
Graphics seem good - even if your computer isn't brand new
Surprising amount of depth if you keep playing - best to stick with one character and learn the basics than to try to play with too many different characters and be running around lost

game looks really stuttery and choppy - or does gamesspot just not know how to encode video?
