@Unfallen_Satan Yeah, that's... discouraging. Will wait until they give more info on it before I see how it effects me. Its a matter of how much they take away and how much they want to get some of those parts back.
Then again, you must have access to privileged information, since you know exactly how many people are unsubscribing in the timeframe of "Just Happened" to now.
Then again, maybe you don't understand the Multiplayer part of MMO. Good luck with that
@Joedgabe It really wasn't. It was based on the combination of Bioware's storytelling into the MMO. Which was done fantastically. The Star Wars had less effect on the actual hype than it being related to KOTOR. The problem was that much of the game fell flat once you got past the hype. GW2 will be just like every other game and do the same thing.
The big upside of F2P is populating the servers. The problem that made so many people quit earlier was that once the initial group left (since obviously not everyone is going to love it or like it enough to subscribe), those who were left found themselves in much less populated servers, which led to less things to do given its an MMO. That caused a domino effect in more and more people quitting (or stop playing and letting their subscription run out) and making the problem worse and worse.
Bioware seems to have been going heads over heels to try and fix this problem, with server mergers and transfers, as well as getting to this point of trying to better populate the servers with F2P
