[QUOTE="omgadam"][QUOTE="helium_flash"][QUOTE="ZebethOrZebes"][QUOTE="helium_flash"]Nintendo implementing all 4 control schemes is absolutely retarded. The gamecube controller was the VERY control scheme that they were trying to bury and claim it was obsolete, but now they put it in SSBB and say that they are the greatest for it? How stupid.
Hopefully the only advertise it with the Wiimote + Nunchuck scheme. Also, tournaments should only be played with the Wiimote + Nunchuck scheme to create absolute fairness.
I hate all these so called "purists" who say that the harecore are going to stay with the Cube controller and casuals are going to stay with the Wiimote/Nunchuck. How ignorant and close-minded can you get! Noone here has played Brawl with any other control scheme, yet they make stupid posts like that! You can stay with your last gen controller, but when i play Brawl, i'm going to only use the Wiimote/Nunchuck scheme, so i can truly get the REVOLUTIONARY experience, which is was the console was MADE FOR.
Turtodile
Offering users a wide variety of choices is never retarded.
Considering it goes all of Nintendo's philosophies about *evolving the controller* and being innovative, always leading the industry in new ideas and trying to bring in casuals by not scaring them away with buttons, yes, i do think it is retarded.
It also just says to ALL developers, "Hey, our controller sucks with fighting games! Just use our other one for it!" Wow, even before a fighting game (besides MK) has been made for the Wii, Nintendo just confirms was everyone has been thinking all along.
ummm, I'm pretty sure its not going against any Nintendo Philosophies. I believe one of Nintendo's philosophies to be to be able to express yourself the way taht you want to. For instance, with motions, you can do them as large as you want, or as minimal as you want, it all depends on you. this is just further extending that. Why take away an option that would work immensly well.
I will be using the GC controller, as that is what I am very good with for this game; but I will give teh other control schemes a chance to see how they feel.
This is not retarted. it gives variety/stratagey to the gameplay. its like how most people use different charaters and use there own stratagey with the character or they like the pace that the character moves and makes them feel most comfortable. it gives variety to how people play, which is never a bad thing. i will be trying all of the control methods.(except for the clasic controller since i dont have one)
Very good point. Honestly, what's your problem helium_flash?
