@Rackjaw @lukszu again each of us have different gaming taste, if this game doesn't meet your expectaions (and additionally you have spend the money to buy it) then bad luck for you; Normally when the game sucks for me I do not bother about it further and go elsewhere for a different title. I have been with RE since the 2nd instalment, many things have changed since then but for me it is great to be in the middle of the zombie outbreak again, with new visuals, smooth gamplay and even better if the game is more action oriented now.

@ZaoQuan Me and my friend preordered the game (both are big RE fans and were awaitng for the new instalment arrival since months). When I read Kevin's review one day before the games arrival I was shocked, by thought - better to check by myslef. My friend followed the hype and cancelled the preorder, now after playing some time in my house he appreciated its quality, same as I am. If you were looking forward to receive product with similar gamplay style/atmosphere as in first RE instalments then you did the right thing to cancel and move to the other title. Metacritic score for me is a joke - how you can give the game "0"? And there are hundreds of "0" there, but on the other side some "10" as well, mainly from the people who gave this game a chance, played it and not followed the hype of giving "0" for not being a scary old RE type. For sure old school RE fans will hate this new RE entry after playing it, but the sad thing is that many action oriented gamers will skip this title due to low scores and simply miss a great action experience in RE6. Fortunately, I am not one of them.

About the rating system - the same guy which gave 4.5 to RE6, scored 5.5 for Bionic Commando, which was a terrible game with lame story and broken camera and clumsy controls (my personal judgement here). Is RE6 really worse than Bionic Commano or same value as Iron Man 2 (4.5 score)? Obviously those are different type of games to compare, but at the end the reviewer should always consider the real quality of the game (here as the action/horror adventure) and not "I though this game would be a scary, slow horror, it ain't, so it is max 4.5" while complaining in parallel about the camera/controls/QTEs,etc (which is totally wrong, I have spent enough time with RE6 to appreciate its values and smooth gameplay). When I'm a RPG lover and have problems with action games I will not criticize the difficult controls(or diffcult QTEs) in TPS shooters as a fault of the game, it is just a case how you are skilled with the pad (obviously sometimes the game is really broken, then it is a different story). I am almost sure advanced gamers mainly appreciate the new RE gamplay which is much more smoothly than RE4/RE6.

The bad hype about this game is unbelieveable, people look on the bad scores and immediately judging that this game is crap, without even playing it. When you played the game and think it's garbage, then it's fair enough, your opinion, but just to troll the game without even trying to check it's values, here there is something wrong. Remember that each gamer has its own individual taste, which can be much different than the others. For me the 6th RE instalment rocks, it is one of the best games I have played in the last months, next to Max Payne 3 and Sleeping Dogs.

@nyran125 There will be always someone dissapointed at the end, if Capcom would go for now for old style RE, the die hard fans would love it, but probably the younger generation of gamers which felt in love with RE after the 4th/5th instalments wouldn't be so happy at the end..I am playing games for almost two decades, played the first REs, loved the atmosphere, but since I am a fan of action/adventure games too, I am more than happy that the series evolved into current RE6 style. But that is only my opinion, if I would think this game sucks, I wouldn't bother to troll the game but look for different title somewhere else, matching my expectations. 8 years ago RE entered the new path, which is towards action and the new instalment really shines on this field. And a lot of action/horror oriented players will love it, still will be hatred by the old RE1/2/3 fans.

I have just beaten Leon's campain, this game is awesome, great graphics, solid controls, didn't observe the annoying QTEs (in a matter of fact I quite enjoyed them), overall this is one amazing ride through many locations, top notch action with some horror background. Obviously this ain't old, slow, spooky RE with clunky controls in parallel. Here everything works smoothly and some occasional camera issues cannot ruin the overall great gameplay experience. On the other hand I can understand that the new entrance of RE is too action packed for die hard fans of the series.
