A common thing loot box defenders will claim is "what about trading card games? They are basically the exact same with card packs!"

Well. Trading card games have an entire 2nd hand market you can trade with, sell the cards and such. BECAUSE ITS PHYSICAL MERCHANDISE! While loot boxes are purely digital, and the second the servers for that game goes down, all the loot box garbage you spent money on is permanently gone. Thats not the case with physical trading cards.

@sakaixx: I would honestly love to see CD project red do a star wars game. One of the few good triple A developers left these days. Seeing them make a generally good star wars game would just make me super happy.
