@Kurdt_kohbain Your a f**cking disgrace to that name. There are so many things about your actions that are contrary to the real Kurt Cobain. You should change your name to John Lydon. It's much more fitting. Your just a plain and simple a**hole. You just like to bash a popular game so you seem cool while claiming to like the less popular dark souls. There is no reason for you to bash skyrim and bring up dark souls unless you work for from software. Otherwise you just seem like a desperate idiot. Desperate for attention and desperate for people to agree with you on dark souls so you can feel even more cool. I think that you actually suck at dark souls but your claiming to like it to seem like your a more hardcore gamer because you have alot of time on your hands and you seek the admiration of the internet masses. I don't like dark souls for the simple fact that I have to wait longer for armored core 5 because of it. I did like demons souls but I don't feel like it needed a sequel right away. Dark souls feels like a less refined retread of Demons Souls.

@Tidal_Abyss You can lock onto enemies by pressing alt or LB if your using the 360 controller. Though you have to wait for the auto targeting to target the enemy you intend to lock onto. The lock-on is still helpful even though it can leave you vulnerable sometimes. I haven't tried it yet but i think if you turn "difficult QTEs" off in the gameplay menu it will allow you to control the QTEs with the mouse instead of the keyboard. I also agree that people who have played the first witcher and then the second will view it different. I am pretty sure that I enjoy the witcher 2 more because I only played the first one alittle bit. But it seems like I will like the first one more when I get a chance to play it since I played the witcher 2 first.

@people actually interested in how this game looks and performs. This game does look great even on low settings. The main things you lose going from low to say...ultra are mainly SSAO (which is basically a shadow like effect that you see under grass and archways of doors and stuff like that) that adds a little more depth to the game but isn't really needed. The draw distance is alot closer too and the textures aren't as sharp but they're not so bad that the game looks really ugly. You also lose the basics like AA,AF, Supersampling, sunshafts, DoF, Motion blur, and things like that. So basically the game looks great no matter what the settings are. Just for an example I will tell you that I have a Phenom x4 9850 (not a phenom 2) and a 260gtx. I play at 1920x1080 on ultra minus supersampling and I get 30 to 40 fps almost all the time in towns and 60 to 70 fps indoors. So that will give you something to go on as far as performance goes. Oh and supersampling does make everything look awesome (though you can't tell from the screens). Basically what it does is render the whole screen multiple times so everything is very smooth. Like shadows and all the edges around everything. There is virtually no aliasing or rough edges on anything. The sunshafts and other effects are smoother and sharper looking too. When you are playing you see a huge difference. But it cuts about 20 fps right off of your framerate so right now it might not be worth it.

I am really glad that CDPR made a game for real gamers. Not a game for the mass effect generation. The witcher 2 really gives me hope for video games again. Just when I thought all games coming out were for kids with ADHD and IQ's under 100 CDPR makes this gem. I really get amused when people complain about a game because they don't have the skills to adapt. This game does feel a little cheap sometimes (this is me pandering to the whiners) when it surrounds you with like 4 or 5 enemies though. But that is what you have the axii sign for. Not to mention yrden and quen. How hard is it to dodge roll out of the way and try to fight the enemies 1 on 1? You have to take things slow and be tactical just like CDPR intended. Don't play the game if you don't like it. Don't go around giving it a bad name just because you suck or the game doesn't play exactly how you want it to. This game isn't hard or cheap if you take the time to figure out what works and what doesn't. You can't just mash the left mouse button (or X if your using the 360 gamepad) and expect to win a fight. Go play ninja gaiden for xbox then come back and tell me about how cheap this is. I actually didn't find it all that hard once you take the time to learn the moves and learn not to rush into combat.

I hope when they release it for consoles it doesn't look too bad. I want to buy it again on PS3 if it looks good just because they deserve the money. I do have faith that it will look good though because they did a great job with it on the PC. With that said though I am really happy that this came out on PC first because I get to play it with the best graphics possible. This is exactly how things should be done. Instead of having the consoles hold the graphics back. I can't stand it when the PC version of a game feels like the port. @jasonzilla11 For the price of a console and about 2 games you can build a (decent) gaming computer. Actually for the price the 360 and PS3 were at launch you could have bought a PC.

@charlieboomboom Judging by your name i'm guessing... you just crapped your pants? That's what you have to say afterwords? I'm just trying to figure out what would make someone say some BS like that. BTW Those screens are exactly how the game looks when you buy it. Yes it looks that good.

@snakebliskin You are totally right and someone needed to say it. I don't know how anyone could support the used game industry. I guess they are people with more money then brains. I know that when i buy a game and i play it for say about a week I'm not going to trade it in for half the price I payed for it when the only thing i've done is unwrap it and put it in my disc drive. Why should gamestop be able to pick the depreciation rate of a game? to me If all i've done is play the game and try to trade it in with no scratches, fingerprints, or damage of any kind i'm not going to let gamestop tell me it is only worth 50% of what I paid for it a week ago. Especially if it still smells new and the only thing that is different about it is the fact that I unwrapped it. Then when you try to get your money back within a week they tell you that all they can do is exchange it or you can trade it in used because of how the game is licensed. That is BS because we all know they don't pay the console manufacturer, developer, or publisher any money when they sell a used game. The used game industry is immoral and wrong. They are killing the game industry. If your giving your money to gamestop then that means your making it harder on the publisher to make money. If the publisher doesn't make money then they can't make games. Why should gamestop make the same amount of money of money off of a game as the developer of the game for doing nothing other then tricking some stupid kid into selling they're game for half of what they paid a week ago? When you go into gamestop they encourage you to buy used just because they make more money off of used sales then they do off of new sales. That alone shows the don't care about the industry. Has anyone noticed how the game industry has gone down hill since eb games and funcoland were established?

I hate used games and used games retailers. Like gamestop. They are crooks. they steal from the gaming industry just like pirates. They don't pay the game publishers royalties when they sell a used game. Hell you can buy a game new and take it back a half-hour later and they try to tell you they will only give you $30 for it. Then turn around and sell it for $55. Used games are killing the industry just like consoles are. They are holding everything back. The publishers and game developers wouldn't be charging for there online modes if it wasn't for used game sales. Tom needs to get his head out of his ***. People need to stop buying these crappy consoles and start supporting PC gaming. If it wasn't for consoles then PC gaming would be so much better. Just look at The Witcher 2. Then publishers wouldn't have to charge an extra $10 just to cover the licensing rights to microsoft, nintendo, or sony. Bottom line if anyone should be able to sell there game multiply times it should be the original maker of the game not gamestop. You people shopping at gamestop are supporting the death of gaming.
