i just bought prototype this morning and i also own infamous and i have to say that in my opinion the graphics are actually good. however, the main reason it looks so good to me is becuase on my sony bravia hd tv it has a cinema display mode, which makes the tone a little darker and makes the colours more vibrant and eliminates jagged edges (to a certain extent) with this in mind i still think it looks pretty good on a normal display. Graphics arent everthing but it certainly helps on first impressions but i bought this game because the gameplay is ace and i expected appalling GFX but i was suprised to see that they are actually not that bad at all and i dont see why people keep saying its so terrible :S just my opinion though, obviously it doesnt compare to KZ2's GFX but then again, not many games in recent memory do apart from crysis and some others. so i think that the graphics on this game are just fine, if not good....

hey guys, as you know christmas is coming up and i was thinking of getting a new GFX. now, i am playing at 1366x768 at the minute and my computer is as follows

Hi-power 800w modular psu

gecube radeon hd 4850 512mb

amd 5000+ x2 2.6ghz

2gb corsair 800mhz DDr2 ram

etc

i was wondering, i might get a 4870x2 as in crysis my gfx struggles as i like turning things up max, its in my nature, would it be worth it at my res and i may also be investing in a 1920x1200 screen soon too, would i get a major fps increase over my current card at my current res???

thanks.

another pointer, i am only using the demo at the minute, i borrowed a crysis disk from a friend and his disk was badly damaged so its difficult to tell whether the demo is just badly optimised compared to the full version of crysis with patches

i mean the cpu. and if u have a cheap PSU ur rails arent giving the power needed to the card so it will underperform, i reccommend (if u go with intel) an E8500 as they are very good with gaming i have heard, or a quad core of course, depends what kind of games u will be playing really
