I know that now most new launch games are indie titles but people were complaining about the lack of selection. Now there's more to get with the Switch at launch, I have a feeling there might be more to come still and maybe Nintendo (crossing fingers) will have its own solution like VC games or such (notice how we haven't heard anything about that to this date?).

@Oni: When you're done washing that tongue of yours kindly point out where I claimed that Nintendo expanded the industry RECENTLY?

@vigariox: Yeah well there hasn't been an undisputed king of gaming since the mid-90's so anyone holding out hope that Nintendo will or should get that title again should think again. Sony has dominated the home consoles and Nintendo the handhelds and that helps to strike a balance in the industry. Also the industry NEEDS Nintendo to do good, even if fanboys won't admit it. Even Sony admitted to that because Nintendo is the one who's been the most daring in its strategies and helped expand the industry. Also competition benefits us the consummers so it's a win-win.

@heqteur: What are you talking about? Nintendo IS dying! And by dying I mean they are expanding and making more money of course. :P

@vigariox: There has always been a double-standard when it comes to Nintendo for some reason. If Sony/Microsoft have a poor launch generally not a lot of people will bat an eye but in Nintendo's case they start calling for its doomsday. Nintendo is dead since 1996, that's what the cool kids kept telling me.

@The_Last_Paladi: So someone who disagrees with you and proves you wrong is just a silly fanboy? Ok, I gotcha!

You do realize that whatever insult you throw my way can easily be throw back at you right? A fanboy troll who accuses Nintendo with pure speculative arguments? Yeah so let's keep the name calling in kinder garden where it belongs friend.

They released Minish Cap only on GBA, they didn't cancel it and port to DS or make a dedicated DS version. So this is in no way comparable to Breath of The Wild. What is actually comparable is GCN-Wii and Wii U-Switch with Twilight Princess and BoTW respectively. Two consoles that are clearly meant and marketed as replacements.

Also, false they did not ''stop production quickly on GBA''. Haven't you read my post they released a whole new GBA 1 year after launching the DS and kept licensing games up to 3 years after the DS launched! If Nintendo had wanted they would have stopped licensing games from third-parties and tell them to make their stuff on DS instead.

Give it a rest, they have clearly kept on going with GBA as they launched DS which supports their claim. You on the other hand have nothing to prove yours.

PS: I don't know why I feel like I need to add this but no I'm not a Nintendo Fanboy. I kept ****ing on them during the Wii era and half of the DS era. I go with logic, not blindly defending corporations I have no stake in.

@tenfour04: The Switch seems to be more appropriate for Home gaming, I just don't see myself taking this out with me the thing is just not portable lol. In Nintendo's own wordings: It's a home console that you can take on the go. Part of me is still hoping for a dedicate handheld, kinda like how the Vita looks.

@The_Last_Paladi: When someone has to resort to name calling, generally it means they got nothing to say. You still can't prove to me that it was their intent all along and as long as you can't you have no argument here. You throw the word ''fact'' around so why don't we look at facts together?

After the DS launched did they stop producing/licensing GBA games? Nop. In fact one of the best GBA games (Zelda: Minish Cap) came out around the same time as DS! And GBA games kept coming out up until 2007!

What else happened after the DS launched? Nintendo released the DS Micro! Oh I'm sorry, the GAME BOY Micro. Now tell me why the hell would they release another GBA a full year after the DS launched? Maybe... just maybe... they didn't intend for the DS to replace the GBA at first. Like they've been saying all along.

Ironic that you accuse me of making assumptions when that's all you've been doing from the start.

@tenfour04: I think you're quoting the wrong person here (or are you?), because I also agree that you can't call it a lie. Perhaps their original plan was truly not to replace GBA and same goes for Switch and 3DS. The Switch is clearly meant to replace Wii U and Nintendo isn't trying to cover it up or anything. If the Switch becomes the new Wii in terms of sales success then I suspect Nintendo might reconsider their word, but if it is a moderate success or a bomb then I would expect a new dedicated handheld to replace 3DS. I personally wouldn't mind something that would actually fit my pocket >_>
