Greg's got a point. I wouldn't care so much, but Sony keeps acting like they're bigger and better than everyone else, making brash claims that come back to bite them in the end. If Sony would just play it cool than this all wouldn't be so embarrassing. Of course, Sony needs to promote themselves as being mystically better than the competition in order to justify that price tag in the face of their consumers. The first PS3 game I play better be worth $670.

It's interesting that motion capture technology never came up as a solution. On the contrary, hand animation combined with blending and physics seemed to be the most believable. After watching a few mo-cap videos around the site, I'm starting to definitely feel it's not a good solution for the Uncanny Valley.
