Best of luck with your essay!

1) What is your age?

23

2) Is your association with pc-games rather positive or negative? In other words, would you consider yourself to be a pc-game enthusiast or a non-gamer?

Positive. I'm a PC enthusiast and a PC gaming enthusiast.

3) If you play games, what type of game genre do you prefer?

I'll play pretty much any genre - and I tend to alternate what I'm playing quite frequently. However, my favourite genre is RPG.

4) Name 6 adjectives that come into your mind when you think of computer games.

  • Creative (strategy/building games)
  • Reactive (fps/rts games)
  • Logical (puzzle games)
  • Organisational/Logistical (strategy games)
  • Computational (rpg & simulation/economic games)
  • Social (MMOs and online gaming)

Pretty much the heart and soul of PC Gaming is in the graphics card. Next time you buy one, don't go for the "Enthusiast" range, go for the more "Extreme" version. You'll get a lot more life out of it.

[QUOTE="A1B2C3CAL"]Have you ever played a single PC game that was completely perfect from the start?mrbojangles25

Halflife and Deus Ex come to mind

Deus Ex had one of the worst first levels in recorded gaming history ;)

Ya, the AI was very impressive, and when you add in the fact that the enemies are physically tough (a good thing, since theyre wearing body armor most likely) it makes for a challenging shooter, something very rare these days. I loved Halflife 2, but it was just too easy to kill Combine soldiers; a challenge like this is more than welcome. I look forward to the hard mode here...maybe even delta

As for the AI, I really enjoy it. I prefer sneaking through the grass like a lion, but I love how when they get a whiff of you, they turn that way and start looking. FOr example, I was trying to sneak up behind a hummer so i can shoot the gas tank, but the guner caught wind of me so I had to turn on my cloak super fast then spring crawl behind a rock so I could turn armor back on then recharge my suit! Very exciting, challenging, and fulfilling.

98 is high, but even if they made a huge overrating, that would mean what? It would only deserve a 95? 90? 85? Still great scores by all means.

No one will regret buying Crysis. Unless you got a crappy system, but then its worth hanging onto until you get a good system

I hope the soldier AI is harder and more tactical in the full game. On Delta on the demo, it was a bit of a cakewalk. Perhaps it's the nature of the suit - it has some very powerful abilities - or perhaps it's a real credit to the game that there is so many options to how to dispatch of the "baddies".

I look forward to getting it tho. ;)

TF2 is one of my fav games mainly because camping is nearly exterminated. You can't sit somewhere and not die, simply because, you have NOWHERE to sit where you cannot be seen.

Not true, not true. You can take up a spectator spot! Not only can people not see you, you wind up people like the OP (Dude_1000) because he is of the belief that spectators ruin online play by stealing "valuable bandwiff" [sic]

Yeah eat, while talking about there gf or taking a dump? sure Dude_1000

That reminds me of a joke:

Q) What do you do if a bird craps on you head?

A) Cancel the wedding!

Or perhaps:

Q) What did the cannibal do after he dumped his girlfriend?

A) Wiped his arse.

There. This thread is now officially off-topic. Enjoy. :)
