I was so exited for this game until I heard about the online required part. I game on a desktop that is alwys internet connected but still, out of principle, will not be buying this game. If they want my bussiness, they can let me use my software anytime anywhere in anyway I want to.

You can't go wrong with the five button logitec laser mice, though they tend to run between $30-45. I have 2, one for my laptop and one for my desktop, and they are great.

if you want to avoid registry issues just install them on the SSD first, them move them to the storage drive when you aren't going to play them for a while

I love how people always tout the cell CPU as being so great. It is true, in pure floating point operations it dwarfs the 360's CPU. However, for gaming it isn't much better. Also, people for get that GPU means alot more than CPU power for gaming. And the 360's CPU is a good amount faster than the PS3's

Exatcly. Emulating hardware requires hardware about 10x faster than the hardware bein emulated, or VERY good coding. The PS3 origianlly has a ps2 chip in it to play ps2 games, and those models were the ones that could play all ps2 games. Once they ditched the PS2 chips price dropped, but they lost BC. Computers can emulate old consoles so well because of the raw power they posses.

look for a recent model used one on craigslist. I got an arcade with a 120GB hard drive with 4 games for 150 in the spring, has been fine so far, and just got my neice and arcade manufactured last year for $100 and it seems fine so far. Just make sure you get a fairly new one and you will be set!

You can use a monitor for the 360 too, assuning it is either HDMI or VGA, I do it all the time and I have a aplitter so my PC and 360 are hooked up to it :-P I have a nice TV too but it has too much input delay for competative gaming, though it is a cheap RCA

the hd 6850 in crossfire will ask for 400 W under load. A 650 W psu is recommend http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-6850-6870-crossfirex-review/4evildead6789

If you read that's the full system load, subjective "estimated" GPU load is less than 300 watts. I'm not saying he should do it unless he has a quality PSU with good 12v amperage but it is very possible. Just make sure you realize how limited you will be to upgrades if you go that path.

BTW, Guru3D.com states two 6850s at full stress consume 393W of power. BF3 will keep you gpus @ 100% usage constantly so bear that in mind. That leaves 207W for everything else while playing BF3. Very close. The 550W person will have 157W left over.covertgamer78

I would like to know how they tested that, becasue it's impossible. 2 reasons: 1 you can't know how much power the GPUs ALONE are taking, only the total system. And second, it's physically impossible, at least for most 6850s. What I mean is, a standard 6850 only draws power from two sources. The pci express slot, and one pci express 6 pin connecter. Both the express slot, and the 6pin connecter max out at 75watts a peice. That means 150 Watts tops per GPU and 300 tops for both. That leaves 250 for everything else in my system, wich I know is cutting things close, but I wasn't planning on crossfiring when I first built my rig, lol. Once I get any signs of problems a PSU upgrade will be in order :-P
