So if he is able to find the original drive for that 360 would it have the make and model number like 37 j for example actually on the drive itself etched in somewhere, and then I just buy that specific drive online? I know I have to swap the boards or w/e to the new drive, but the actual model number if I can find it I just buy that specific one online? Thanks

I have an xbox i got from my cousin, it is an original launch 360 he says, anyway the dvd drive was pulled out for some reason. I just bought the xbox off him knowing the drive is not there. Now I am trying to buy a new drive off buy.com, anyway I know I will need to buy a hitachi but what I am confused about is which one. I see there are different versions such as 47j, 49jk, 57 br, for example there are 6 different ones I saw. Now which one do I buy since I do not know the differences and which one I have. Thanks.
