I have been trying to upgrade the units through research in research centers. Is there any control on the side of the player, how to allocate the upgrade? After research is complete (for example in the category "range"). I can proceed the upgrade only with respect to missile launchers, while other units remain with the same range.

I could even live with the fact that not all units have the upgraded range mark - but at least I would like to choose, which unit could get the upgrade.

Anybody remember the game well enough to comment?
