Thanks, it's good to know there is some hope still left for my parts... I've checked all components, no damage visible.

Oh, I forgot to mention, one of the fuses in the fuse box outside the house turned off, and the whole house went out. So I'm guessing it turned off because there was an electrical surge? And, the noise sounded like a REALLY LOUD clap, because my ears were ringing for a minute or two...

I'll be testing the PSU on an old motherboard today, heopfully it will be still safe to operate. XD Thanks for the help guys.

I've been gathering parts for about a week now, and it came down to this:

Gigabyte EX58-UD3P DDR3 Motherboard

4GB of DDR3 RAM

2 Hard drives

Radeon 4890 ( I was one of the first in Australia to get one XD)

Cooler Master Extreme 650 Watt

Now, the reason I listed my parts is.... When I recieved the PSU, I was in a rush when building and didn't flick the voltage switch to 250. BOOM when i turned it on.

What are the chances of damage? There is no visible damage ANYWHERE.

PLESAE HELP ?

You seriously believe someone who worked at CNN?

I believe something will happen in 2012, just not what that video explained. Maybe not something to do with that 12th planet...

Move into higher consciousness, rar rar rar, end of mayan calander, move into age of aquarious. Thats what I believe.

thats prob decent for where he's located. unless your in china, most places are more expensive than us, only suggestion i would have had would have been to use a quad core processor, and maybe upgrade your hard drives depending on what they weremachiavell8x8

hmmm, I heard somewhere that quad cores are useless for gaming, since barely any games use all 4 cores at the same time. Which is why I'm getting a dual core :). btw my hard drives are only 2 months old so its all good XD

Red Orchestra.

I bought it on a steam sale a while ago for $5 USD but it has absolutely no aussie players or servers which sucks, i can imagine it wouldn't be half bad with a populated, lag-free server.

sammysalsa

I know what you mean, I've that game for a year, NEVER EVER met an aussie player. Been playing on unplayable american servers for like a week, that was IT. Though I did buy it during a sale, so it wasn't that bad....

I totally recommend Unreal Tournament 3, with the new patch out with new maps and gameplay upgrades. Heaps of people are playing right now. If you like huge maps with open terrain, then this is your game, with the Warfare gametype most maps are just huge, oh and you get a hoverboard. XD
