Halo 2 for me. It just didn't have many (any?) memorable moments. Playing as the Arbiter disrupted the focus of the campaign, I think. The Brutes as enemies wasn't as satisfying somehow and I also hated the Tartarus boss battle. And obviously the biggest kick in the teeth was the cliffhanger ending.

Gears of War (Mad World trailer) and that Old Republic trailer, which packed more awesomeness in 4 minutes than George Lucas managed in the entirety of Ep. 1-3.

[QUOTE="omgimba"]Considering CoD1 was the only good one I dont see why people keep buying these games. WasntAvailable

Can you explain why? I played CoD 1 recently and thought it was largely inferior to MoH:AA. I played CoD 2, and thought it was better than MoH:AA. I really don't understand why people say CoD 1 was the best, the comment reeks of nostalgia. CoD 2 had better graphics, better variety of gameplay, better selection of weapons, better battles, it had pretty much better everything.

Because, CoD campaign gameplay never changes. It was cool back when CoD came out, but now it's getting very dated, and reeks of laziness. Consoles are so much more powerful now, but we still get the same limited linear levels, with stupid enemies running on simple scripts instead of challenging AI, and infinite respawns to make up for the retarded enemies.

That's why they can pump these games out so fast, because all they have to do is slap a new coat of paint on the same game, and gamers clap their hands like giddy schoolgirls and say, "OMG, BESTEST. GAME. EVAR!!"

CoD is realistic? LOL!

Let me take a wild stab at what IW's 'innovations' will be for this game: Introducing an on-the-rails, linear shooter with infinitely-spawning enemies with limited-scripted-AI... BUT WITH TEH FUTURE WEPUNS!!! OMG!!!

Bungie has absolutely nothing to learn from COD4 as far as the campaign goes. I seriously hope more games aren't going to take the old-school COD4 path of heavily scripted, linear, infinitely spawned enemies, all in all a force-fed campaign experience where it feels more like the game is playing you than you playing the game.

Halo 3 certainly had its flaws but at least I enjoyed the experience, unlike that archaic COD4 garbage.

Topic... If not what is and why, you must support with actual reasoning ( I know, madness on SW) Don't post if you've never played Mass Effect...

My vote is that yes, it is the best game so far this gen on any console... it is the most complete in gameplay, story, and graphics... a beautiful game.

It's easily my favourite so far. I've played it through three times and will probably play through it three more times to play all the different specialists. What's unusual is that the more I play it, the more I enjoy it. Can't wait for ME2.

I don't care what score it received, no one even talks about it anymore.

Lemmings now have more shooters to pick from on Xbox and realize games like COD4 and Half-Life Orange Box are far better products.

Hermits have been telling you this for ages but you never listened. Compared to other shooters on the market, Halo was meh. Halo 1 was the introduction to the shooter genre for many lemmings and thus they put it on a pedestal it never deserved. Now that you've had a chance to play other good games in the genre, do you finally admit Halo 3 is a flop?

It's on 90% of the overrated lists whether they be published by Gamespot, 1UP, or some message board. It's already replaced in player population on Xbox Live by COD4. Bioshock received far more GOTY awards for its crazy single-player experience. People are talking more about Battlefield: Bad Company, Gears of War 2, Haze, Killzone 2, Far Cry 2, and other highly anticipated future shooters.

Microsoft is more interested in Halo spin-offs than the actual Halo shooter experience now.

Come on... admit it.... Halo 3 flopped? 8)

Having to slog through the complete garbage COD4 campaign and the dated gameplay/scenario design of Half Life 2 only made me appreciate Halo 3 more.
