@komuchen how in the world could they possibly be in need of profit. Their coffers are full to the brim since launch day, and it will hold them over till their next mmo. The argument that Blizz will hurt from a f2p model has no validity at all. They could lose a ton of subs in the millions and still be well in the green with a little extra for a new sports car.

@flammable_zeus LOL blizz has basically charged you for every little thing involving your character. So yea, your right they have no excuse for charging monthly. They ain't going broke anytime soon. I am sure that nest of cash they got from lauch that is gigantic in size will last them a few lifetimes

@nait2k4 dude that's the story with a lot of games now. If this upsets you, then you might want to stop playing mmorpgs. Because F2p is coming down the track. People don't have the time and money to devote to a pay to play model these days. WoW has already left destruction in its wake. Almost everyone that has heard of WoW knows of story of marriages and relationships broken up over it. Some people are now realizing f2p is just the way to go to make things easier.

@alucardswrath P2W, you mean kind of like G2W (grind to win). Or be incredibly fortunate to have a awesome guild who won't kick you out if you suck and politics aren't involved. Come on man give me a break, that game hasn't changed, even it has gotten easier. P2W isn't anymore of a crime then it is now. You basically have to have all your time centered around WoW in order to be successful.

@Geminon yep that's kind of the way it was even before mists, when I played 3 or so years ago. People just hang out with their friends doing dumb stuff and not really "raiding".

@ZellyPoof also don't forget the xpansion packs your basically guaranteed to buy if you want to get the new content, which over 100 to buy the original game and expansion, unless you got a very special deal when it was slashed in price or something.

"We really don't know what the rate is before people drop off and lose interest." Um that's happening now dude. Partly because you still have to pay to play. There are so many F2p games out there like WoW, why the hell they haven't converted is stupid to me. Furthermore, the game is nothing but a grind fest anyway with more Trolls then any fantasy realm in existence can hold and more elitists then any gaming tournament can hold.

@Earthen80 I agree I think the gaming industry needs to start switching up the games again, instead of making the same old same old. Not saying they should kill of the titles, but I think this next gen needs to push the limits again with stuff we truly haven't seen before. Little Big Planet was a good example of this.
