@OllieBrown Do you think Nintendo could benefit from the EA approach and have major updates much more frequently? I know they sortof tried it with Metroid Prime. This is in complete contradiction to what you're saying, but, do you think that major franchises dropping out of consumer consciousness every console cycle helps the franchise any?
Wii U is a lot of fun. Sharing your gaming experience with other players on Mii Verse is compelling. Nintendo land shows the potential of Asymmetric gameplay. The eShop is a good experience. You get 10% back on purchases in the eshop plus access to Nintendo first party titles as well as some gamepad features from 3rd party ports. Zombi U is a fun game and deserves a much better score than what many people have given it. I was lucky because I got Zombi U bundled with Nintendo Land, the gamepad pro and the wii u deluxe for $329!!! Also purchased Trine 2 which is great, and have access to a huge Wii library. All in all I must say that I chose the right console to come back to Nintendo.
Part of the game must be an exploration of the mind of a comatose war vet. The game might switch to a more 'regular' metal gear experience once snake wakes up nine years later.
@GtWthTheProgram Actually, the story's was a little convoluted in DS1. It was Pretty bad in DS2. DS2 focused on occult activity and a church that was dedicated to the evolution of the human race... The premise is interesting, some type of reverse religion, but the worst parts of DS2 were the levels centered on the occult, whereas the best parts are the levels dealing with sci-fi. I could easily come up with a much better story. The games hold up because of their amazing set pieces, I must say.
