@AK_the_Twilight @JustPlainLucas good point... "Plus if they weren't wasting their time designing gimmicky consoles no "hardcore" gamer wants they might come up with a few good ideas in terms of new IPs"
@Vegamyster @jonnybutler11 That's a stretch :P by the ;ast few years I really meant this upcoming generation (stupid turn of phrase) because Nintendo decided to release the Wii U earlier on and they have basically zero third party support along with abysmal sales on that thing
Nostalgia is the only thing keeping these old bastards in it, they have their niche audience and will never lose it... It's a shame really, they might want to get rid of ignorants with an outdated and insulting (to my prior love for them and my intelligence as a gamer and consumer) thought process like Iwata and bring in some fresh thinkers who can steer this aging giant in the right direction.
@JustPlainLucas So why don't they just stop making consoles? I know they used to be the giant but don't we all know it's long past due Nintendo swallowed a nice dose of humility. Making gaming consoles has obviously been becoming less and less profitable for them over the past few years... I say they just become a publisher with a few good dev studios under their belt. Imagine how well Mario, Zelda, etc woud sell if they brought it to the other consoles ? Plus if they weren't wasting their time designing gimmicky consoles no "hardcore" gamer wants they might come up with a few good ideas in terms of new IPs; no one ever buys a Nintendo console for anything but their own games anymore anyways...
@Icepick_Trotter @jonnybutler11 @max-hit I disagree, polls are harmless, I don't even think anyone who thinks of gaming as a joke is aware of this poll... If things like the MTVVMAs can happen then a poll paying hommage to the favourite games of this gaming genereation is irrelevant in the legitimization of gaming as an artistic medium.
@adward22 they aren't changing the ending, they're revealing an alternate ending that they worked on before finalizing the game at a conference in a few weeks, make sense? and yeah i agree with your appreciation of the ending
@feleas @bottaboomstick wowowowo. We obviously weren't playing the same game...
-Jumps infront of a speeding car to save his son's life;
-Drives the wrong way on a freeway to save his son from a psycopath;
-Crawls through broken glass, to save his spn from a psycopath;
-Kills an innocent man to save another innocent life;
-Chops his own finger off, (ok you get who he's doing it for)
-Drinks POISON that will kill him in the hopes that it'll give him enough time to SAVE HIS SON's LIFE
That's not an emotionally weak person to me but hey if you're up for an analytical psycology examination or a philosophical one of Ethan's motivations I'm all for
