Technically the game is great, great graphics, great level design, smooth plataforming and awesome looking boss battles and the combat while being on the easy side feels smooth with a wide variety of guns to use through the game. But the problem here is not the gameplay itself but the characters and the history. The plot of the game isn't bad but isn't great either which is a shame cause it seemed to be one of the strong points of the game and the new direction they are trying to take with the series, same with the script.

The big mess is the direction they took with the characters, none of them are even a shadow of what they used to be, Dante it's the kind of guy you want to punch in the face due to the high amount of douchbaggery that goes out of his mouth during each cutscene, Virgil is not the honorable older borther of Dante anymore (those who have played the game already know what i'm talking about) and the new girl is just meh, she only seems to be interested on sucking Dante's weenie despite all the crap he puts on her.

The icing of the cake was probably that little cutscene where a white wig fall into Dante's hair and he looks himself on a mirror and says "Not in a million years", i'm guessing that was Ninja Theory saying to the fans **** you people, we can do with the character what we want cause we are the developers!. Well the fans have payed them with the same coin, not buying the game.

No real customization? you just jump on a better car and that's it?... one of the best aspects of Most Wanted was the fact the you could build your own car with the money and parts you got from races. Why play this game when i can play my old copy of Most Wanted and make them look like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzLweAZzR-o

I miss the day when the NFS games could be fully modded.

Don't see the big fuzz about it. If you have played an online game developed by EA in the recent years you already have an Origin account cause your old EA account it's an Origin account now. Many of them (the latest NFS games being an example) required to log in in order to play the game online.

You don't need Origin on your console to run the game, you just need to login on your account to play. I wonder how many of the commentators in here already have an Origin account without knowing and came here to leave a dumb hate comment.

Meh, games developed by Criterion don't have their own identity anymore. How is a new Burnout game going to be any different from Hot Pursuit or the new Most Wanted, they all look and play the same. I'm far more interested on Project Cars, that looks like a great racing game.

Most Wanted needs to shake up its genre, says creative director Craig Sullivan, because “ultimately [racing games] are getting a bit boring”.

You meant like Hot Pursuit 2010? Cause in the end this is just NFS Hot Pursuit with an open world like Burnout, how you want to shake up the genre when the games you develop don't have an identity anymore.
